Ultrasound

Last Saturday, Toni and I went to Capitol Medical Center for the congenital ultrasound of our baby. We opted to have it done there kasi mas mura compared to Medical City where her OB holds clinic. There were already several couples present when we arrived. It didn't take too long though before we were called.

The doctor then applied gel to Toni's belly and then pressed the probe on her abdomen. Then there was our baby's image right in front of us. Sobrang nakakatuwa! This was my first time to see our baby because I wasn't able to accompany her on the previous ultrasound. Malikot nga daw yung baby sabi ng doctor kasi everytime that she presses down on Toni's belly, the baby would move around. Naistorbo siguro and nasikipan hehehe. We saw the development of our baby since the last ultrasound she had. We even saw the baby's heart pumping, the spine was visible, the feet, galing talaga! Everything looked normal daw according to the doctor, thank God! The doctor said the baby's head is positioned on top of the womb but also that it was too early anyway and that the baby would still move to the right position, there was still space visible in the ultrasound. You may be waiting to see if the baby's a boy or a girl. Well, the baby's back was turned to us so we couldn't see. Fortunately, the doctored advised that we go back in 2 weeks or a month when the baby has changed position and has developed some more to check on the baby's gender. This time it's going to be for free.

After the ultrasound, we went straight to her OB in Medical City for her monthly checkup. We gave her the results of the ultrasound, she looked into it, and said also that everything looked normal. We were also able to hear the baby's heartbeat. It was beating so fast. Tuwang tuwa si mommy and daddy hehehe. Luv you baby! Luv you honey!

There And Back Again

I am now back in Taiwan after a month long business trip in the US. Kakapagod mag travel! Before going there, I went to Manila first to spend a weekend there. That was the time we had lunch at Bubba Gump. See previous posts hehehe. Although maikli lang, at least I was able to spend some time with Toni.

I spent most of my time in the US at Ontario, California where our workplace and hotel are located but on the weekends, Toni's uncle or cousin would pick me up at the hotel and then drive me to their place at Buena Park. It was so nice of them to spend time with me kasi ang layo nga ng workplace namin from their house then susunduin ako every Saturday morning tapos hatid na naman ako Sunday afternoon. Thanks ninong Pete and Kevin! All we did was eat when I was there. Kevin's goal was for me to gain 15 pounds during my stay there. I think he succeeded. I had so much fun during my stay there. We had a barbecue on Memorial Day weekend, had saturday night gatherings, went to Universal Studios, shopped around for things for the baby. I really had fun when I was shopping around for baby stuff, even more if Toni and I would be shopping together. She told me the prices of baby stuff in Manila so I compared it with prices in an outlet store and found that some items were half the cost there so I was able to buy a lot of stuff. Around half my baggage was all for the baby. If I had more luggage space, I would have bought more.

My scheduled flight back to Manila and Taipei were always changing. My stay was extended for a week, making me unable to come home for our 1st wedding anniversary. It was almost extended for another week but the bosses decided against it that's why I was able to go home last weekend and spend time again with Toni. Luv you honey!

Michelle's 18th Birthday

I attended a debut party last Saturday. Michelle (sister of my sis-in-law) celebrated her 18th birthday at Kapitan Moy. Grabe! Hehehe!

Buti kung carry niya kaso no! As in! Hehehe!

Hehehe!

Here are some of the pics sa party, wala akong pic kasama yung debutant. Hehehe! :)

What Age Do You Act?

I have nothing to blog about and as I was browsing, I saw this. I act much younger than my actual age. hehehe!

-22 -

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday

It’s Thursday already and here I am to blog how my weekend went. Quite busy with work eh. Hayyy….

Friday night, met my cousin Micholle to pick up HP books and my ever favorite crinkles from good shepherd convent Baguio. We met at Starbucks pacific star. Hehehe! Sarap eh. Thanks Micholle and Ninang Nida! Mwah! Meet ko din cousin Sheila to give her order of Honeymansi.

After that, Micholle dropped me off at Glorietta to meet my sister. I’m looking for a black flat shoes kasi that I can use sa work. Don’t want to wear shoes with heels na kasi dahil I go out or walk most of the time. Saw a pair of shoes at Francesco pero did not buy it muna and looked somewhere else. Tapos I got tired na kaya my sister and I went home na din.

Saturday, I accompanied my cousin Jane to the bridal fair at Crowne Plaza. I miss wedding preparations! Kakatuwa, most of the photographers are there, as in yung owners. I even saw Mang Emil pero did not greet him coz he’s busy talking to a couple eh. Dami na din bagong uso ngayon. Naisip ko tuloy, almost a year pa lang ako kinasal, dami na innovations. Aliw!

After Crowne Plaza, we went to Glorietta again for lunch. Tapos we have our own lakad na kaya kanya kanya na kami ng cousin ko after lunch. I then bought the shoes at Francesco. Saw a nice doll shoes sa Kashieca also kaso walang size. :( Sayang cute pa naman! Tapos I met my HS friends at Starbucks 6750. Kakatuwa kasi I haven’t seen them for quite some time since I’m living in Marikina na. They meet yata weekly pero I can’t go anymore coz I’m not from Makati na. It’s so nice seeing them again, mega kwentuhan ulit!

Here we are at starbucks!

Then we went to Heaven ‘N Eggs for dinner. It’s my first time to eat there so di ko alam kung ano ba dapat order na food. I ordered their Caesar Salad with Shrimp and ok naman yung taste niya. Among the food that we ordered, yun yung pinakagusto ko. Sarap din nung dalandan juice. Hehehe! We went home at 10pm.

Sunday naman, I stayed at home sa Fort to clean my stuff for our transfer to Marikina. Haven’t brought most of my things yet eh. Clothes lang yata nadala ko sa Marikina and most of my stuff are still at the Fort. Need to separate also yung mga pwedeng for garage sale, yung mga clothes na di na muna pwede ngayon since I’m pregnant at kung ano ano pa. Ayun, I stopped mga 3pm and fell asleep. Went home sa Marikina ng mga 5pm. Di pa tapos yung mga gagawin ko don kaya I need to go back this weekend. Ayun, o siya! Back to work na! :)

Canadian Misadventure

Last month, my boss asked me to deliver some of our products to one of our customers in Canada. The plan was for me to arrive on friday, stay for just a night, then head back to Taiwan the next day. So I would practically be spending the weekend on the plane.

Unfortunately, I encountered some problems with Canadian customs. And because it was already friday night, their office was already closed and wouldn't open til monday morning. I called up the airline to have my flights changed, the earliest flight i can get was a week later. So I was stuck in Canada for a full week! And because the original plan was for me to stay for only 1 day, i only brought with me a change of clothes! My goodness! Well for me mahal yon kasi sa mura lang ako bumibili ng damit eh hehehe.

Buti na lang toni was able to get a hold of one of our friends there so he came by and showed me around. Thanks noel! We first went to one of the numerous wineries there and even had a tour and tasted some of their wines. Next stop was the town Niagara-On-The-Lake, then the Floral Clock which is a really big clock and its face is decorated with flowers. And of course i couldn't pass the oppurtunity to see Niagara Falls. It was only on my visit there that I learned that Niagara Falls consists of 2 waterfalls, the american falls, and the canadian falls (this is the horseshoe shaped waterfall) wow! They are truly one of the wonders of nature.
