Music and Magic

That was the theme of Bela’s 7th birthday party that we attended about two months ago.  We had so much fun during the party and I can still remember the superb stage set-up that Daddy Howell prepared.  There were different musical instruments like drums, percussions, new fender princeton reverb reissueguitars, that matches the backdrop which have musical notes as the design.  Bela sang some songs and the kids danced on stage led by the hosts.  It was really a wonderful party and the kids had so much fun.

Latest Songs

My friends in twitter were talking about songs that are hits to the kids now.  I was just lurking and reading their conversation and thankful that they talked about it because honestly, I don’t know some of the songs that they were talking about lol!  Hannah loves to sing and dance so I asked Paul to download some of the songs.  I do hope I’ll get to memorize them so I can sing along with Hannah. ;)

Ipod

Mine has been so old that Apple is not manufacturing it anymore and had developed a newer model. I doubt if I’ll look for Ipod accessories if I’ll still be able to find one for my iPod. But I don’t mind that it’s old or phased out, since I barely use it and it’s still working. But I know there’ll come a time that I really should replace it, I just don’t know when. Hehe! It’s not part of my to buy list but we’ll see. :)

WSOP Player Spotlight: Barry Greenstein

Barry Greenstein is renowned as one of the most humble, noble, and charitable figures in modern poker. Even when losing (including to unlikely hands), Greenstein remains courteous. Beyond that, he goes out of his way to make a difference among those in the field of poker and elsewhere. He has been dubbed "the Robin Hood of poker," due to the fact that he gives away all of his tournament winnings to charity.

How can he do this? The answer is quite simple. Greenstein is one of the world's most impressive ring game players, and has made his living, and far more than that, in table winnings alone. It has been stated that no one has won more at the tables in the last decade than he has. He then turned around and wisely invested this money in real estate. He has enough financial security that he's comfortable donating all of his winnings to charity.

His placement in the WSOP is very notable. With 44 money finishes and three bracelets, Greenstein undoubtedly ranks among the best. With fantastic placement in other tours like the World Poker Tour and European Poker Tour, the amount that Greenstein has donated to charity over the years is truly immense. One unique tournament that he won was a father son tournament, where his son Joe Sebok (also a professional poker player) paired with him for a strong money finish.

Greenstein plays many games, both at the tables for profit and at tournaments for charities, and has been featured on various poker shows and invited to most major invitationals. In one of the High Stakes Poker episodes, Greenstein took a dare to say the phrase "LOL donkaments," which garnered an extra $55,000 for charity. Clearly, this is a player who is willing to make sacrifices for certain causes and charities!

How Big Should Your Starting Bankroll Be?

It doesn't matter if you're playing at a virtual table at Caesars Online, in the Luxor, or in a run down casino that no one has ever heard of before, you will need money for the game. How much money is required for a starting bankroll is another question entirely, and it's one that players ask frequently. While there have been many answers to this question, this article will provide a brief set of answers to help you make a wise decision about the money you'll want to devote to your poker project.

First, you must make an honest determination of your own skill level. Unless you have a consistent track record of winning money, placing well in tournaments, and generally taking home more than you take to the table, you should qualify yourself as a beginner. You should continue to do so until you have developed a track record of wins at the table. At this stage, devote no more to the game than you can comfortably lose. In this case, think of your losses both in monetary and psychological terms. Don't go beyond your own comfort levels.

Once you have a track record, you will want to set aside a larger bankroll so that you can remain stable and consistent over long time periods of play. For a limit game, you will typically want a bankroll of at least 200 times the large bet (the bet made on the turn and river). For a no limit game, at least 500 big blinds should be a minimum. For a tournament player, setting aside enough for at least 50 tournaments of the cost you prefer is wise. This will allow you to play over long periods of time and make sure that skill, rather than luck, is what determines how much you take away.

Stay on the Cutting Edge of Gaming Online

Nothing is worse than when you save your money to buy the latest, greatest thing, only for the upgrade to be released right afterwards. It makes you feel like your new trinket is not the cutting edge toy you wanted and it seems old and antiquated when you think about all of the new features that the new upgrade has. But since you bought your system retail and it has been opened and used, you have lost a lot of its value and won't be able to resell it without a major loss. It's a bummer and everyone has been there.

Instead of putting the money into buying upgrading a gaming console, why not save your cash or upgrade your computer instead while buying a subscription plan for online games? Computers these days cost less and less and a computer is not only useful for online gaming, but it can be used for word processing, graphic design, web browsing, and collecting and storing all kinds of data that is valuable to you. Computers can also be upgraded without being replaced entirely. With the amazing games available online now, you can enjoy the most popular games in the gaming world for much less and you won't need any extra equipment.

Some game sites offer thousands of games and there's a huge variety in that selection. Cooking games, roll playing games, strategy games, puzzle games, traditional favorites that have been formatted for online use, action games, card games, mystery games, even games based on favorite novels, television shows and movies are available in the vast libraries of games available online. To have access to that kind of selection with a video console, you would spend many thousands of dollars for the games alone. You can save your money and stress and enjoy the fun that games can bring when you look to online games!

Chuck

I can’t still get over with this series. I was able to finish season 2 a couple of months ago and here I am watching it again. I watched season 1 again last weekend and I’m on episode 10 again of season 2. I really enjoy watching this show. I find it light and yet entertaining. And I find it funny too! Haayy… I can’t wait for season 3. :)
