UAAP Volleyball

In our house, we try to expose the kids to sports so they’ll have an interest on it and won’t be using the gadgets too much.  Thankfully, my son got encouraged and is into basketball now after watching the Ateneo game live and also after watching San Mig Coffee vs Rain or Shine during the finals.  Now, we are watching the finals of the volleyball game between La Salle and Ateneo and of course we are cheering for the Lady Eagles.  My daughter now is imitating how the players hit the ball and said she wants to learn how to play volleyball too.  I told her she’ll learn when she gets a little older.  Anyway, game 3 is set on Wednesday and I hope the Lady Eagles can still fight back and win this one to stretch the game further. Good luck!

House Hunting

We went house hunting again this afternoon and found several ones that met our requirements. There are some that are still pre-selling that’s why the units are still affordable. We also saw some that is still under construction and several tools are scattered in the area. I’m sure the industrial supply companies looks for developers since they’ll need those tools and equipment in construction. Anyway, there were some units that I find ok with us and I do hope my husband shares the same views. We’ll if we can finally live in a house we can call our own.

Stains

There were a couple of stains in our house that my helper was complaining about. We don’t know where it came from so we’re having a problem removing it. But thankfully, a friend recommended a spot stain remover and when we used it, the stain was immediately removed. My helper was so amazed because she said she didn’t apply much and yet it was removed. She said she’ll keep the rest and will just use it for stains that will give her difficulty removing.

Trip to Batangas

Last Saturday, my sister, my mom, the kids and I all went to Batangas because my mom wants to spend Holy Week there with my dad.  Paul cannot go with us that day because he needs to go to work. Anyway, it was a fun trip as there is no traffic and the kids enjoyed staying there even just for a little while.  We even went to what the kids call the mini zoo where there are geese, dogs, birds, cats, and chickens owned by my aunt.  My dad loves to go to there too and take care of these animals and at the same time look after his newly planted mahogany trees. J
I really love staying in the province; too bad we need to go back home after lunch.  Hannah said that she will go with us again if we go back there. I guess she really enjoyed it! :)

One of my Dreams

I’m not a green thumb but I love flowers and gardens.  And one of my wish if we will have our new house is to have a garden there.  I sometimes imagine that there is garden decor at thegardengates in our future home but as of the moment, that remains a wish.  We don’t have a budget for a big house yet and for now I just have to settle for the plants in our rented house. But I’m not losing hope and I pray that we will have our own house soon with garden on it. :)

Add More Storage to Your Bathroom

In many bathrooms, space is at a premium, so anything that can be done to increase the amount of storage space is a must. If your bathroom feels cramped and overcrowded, making a few changes and adding some items can help you store towels and other bath products more efficiently. A towel stand makes it easy to store and organize your towels without taking up a lot of space in a small bathroom.
Towels tend to be bulky and take up a lot of valuable space, so using a towel hanging stand lets you dry and store your towels more compactly. Look for a towel rack and stand that are the right size for your bathroom. Many of these racks are quite compact and can fit easily in a corner or even behind the bathroom door. Using other bath organization products can also help you increase the amount of storage space available to you. Stackable hampers or hanging shelves let you store items such as washcloths, lotion bottles, brushes and other toiletries without cluttering up your counter. A shower caddy provides space for your shampoo and conditioner bottles right in the shower.

If you do not have a lot of extra room in your home, finding the right storage solutions can make the space you have more usable. Since the bathroom tends to be one of the smaller rooms in a home, focusing your efforts in this area gives you the best return. Choosing the right items makes it easy to add more storage space even in a small bathroom.
