AGS Fair

Since it was Lance’s birthday last Thursday, I decided to take a leave from work because prep children were also required to be accompanied by an adult at the fair.  When we got to school, I brought Lance to his classroom since parents/companions are allowed for today to enter the campus.  The class copied their homework first and then they were brought to the chapel to pray the rosary.  While praying, there was a procession around the campus and after that the kids were brought to Singson Hall for the McDonalds show.

After that, kids were brought back to the classroom to make sure everyone finished copying their homework.  Then they were given to their companion to enjoy the fair and companions were asked to sign a sheet if they are going home na so the teacher will be informed.
Lance played at the inflatables and he really had fun there.  He was only able to try 2 because before we know it, it was 11am already and we need to go to the service.  I told Lance that the fair will be until Saturday and he’ll have enough time to play in those three days.  He said it’s ok and he really had fun especially since it is his birthday. :)

My Kids

I don't have a nice pic of them together and here's what I have so far:

The pics were taken one morning. Hannah loves playing with his Kuya Lance and Lance doesn't mind if sometimes Hannah hits him na like the pic shown above. So far, Lance is patient with her and does not hit her back. I hope it will always be like that! They really look so cute whenever they play with each other. :)

Party Planning

I checked my calendar this morning and I realized it’s only three months before my little princess turns one. This made me think if I should begin to panic since there are major suppliers that I haven’t booked yet. I prepared a joint birthday celebration for the kids since Lance will turn 3 and Hannah will turn 1. As I checked my list, I was only able to book 3 suppliers, the venue, the host and the food cart. Hahaha! I still have to finalize the menu for our chosen caterer and also we need to decide the food for the kids. I also don’t have any idea what party favors to give to the kids and worse, I don’t even have a theme yet. Hahaha! I guess now is the time to panic! I’ll check my list at work tomorrow and I hope I can accomplish something. Good luck to me! :)

Another Day at Active Fun

I was on half day leave last Wednesday because we’re supposed to visit my cousin at the heart center for her operation. But it was moved to another day because the doctors need to conduct more tests. So we just went to Active Fun to join them in their 3rd year anniversary. I received a text from them that they are celebrating their anniversary and the kids can play for unlimited time, plus they’ll have free snacks for the kids, some games and a magic show. This is where we spent my birthday as blogged here. So off we went to Active Fun.

We got there around 3pm and there were kids already. We immediately went to the play area and the kids started playing. By 3:30 the games and magic show started but the kids were not interested in watching so we just continued playing. By 6pm we all felt tired so we decided to go home. We dropped by first at SM Marikina to check on steam cleaners and also to eat at Pizza Hut since all of us are so hungry.

After eating, we all went home. All of us were so tired that Ethan even fell asleep on our way home. Lance on the other hand immediately fell asleep once I put on his pajamas. :) Here are some of our pics:

On Mobile Computing

I wasn’t a real fan of mobile computing until recently. Since I started with desktops, all I wanted was the sheer power and upgradability they offer compared to the notebooks. But then with the costs of some notebook components like memory upgrades going down, I then started to appreciate it. In our home, I think no one appreciates mobile computing more than Lance. Because every time I get home, he would go and scream “Wall-E”. Not because I look like Wall-E, but because he likes watching the movie while sprawled down in bed. Now that would be next to impossible with a desktop, right?

Play time with Daddy

Just want to share some pics of Lance and Paul (with Hannah watching) inside the playroom. As you can see, Lance can stand at Paul's back all by himself. Hehe! This is how we usually spend our weekends, either watching videos, reading or playing inside the room. :)

Lance's Birthday!

Again another super late post. Lance turned 2 last September 27 and we just had a simple celebration at home. We first heard mass at 6:30am then went home after. We did not prepare a party for Lance since it's too close to my EDD. Anyway, it was super simple. Aside from the people at home, Lance's guests are his cousins. Ok na din! We're glad they came and celebrated Lance's birthday with us. We just prepared spaghetti, hotdogs, lumpia and my sister bought cake at Contis. Busog naman kami and happy naman si Lance. Hehe! Thanks again to Patrick and family for coming over. :)

These were taken when he was still sleeping in his crib. Sweet nila no! hehe!

The one on the left naman was when we moved him to sleep with us sa bed. While the one on the right was taken inside our car. We never leave the house without the small barney. :)

I'm very thankful that Lance is not a picky eater. He'll eat whatever it is you give him. Sometimes it's even difficult especially when we were told to put him on a diet. I need to hide from him whenever I'm eating something. Paul was even telling me that Lance is better than me because he's not choosy unlike me who seldom eats veggies. hehe! I'm glad that Lance eats any veggies you give him. But his favorite food includes spaghetti, chocolates, and french fries.

What Lance Likes To Do

1. Open his drawer and check his clothes and shoes.

2. Play with the water jug.

3. "Talk " to his wall chart. He removed this from the wall and prefers to stand on it.

I'll share more of his pics next time.

One Proud Momma

Paul and I met at Gateway after office so that we can go home together. I got there first since I’m in QC na while he’ll be coming from Jollibee Plaza in Ortigas. While I was waiting for him, I dropped by at Blow Up Babies and checked their packages. I also clarified some matters with them and checked their albums. As I was browsing through the babies album, I saw Lance’s pic included in the album. I was really surprised and of course I felt proud when I saw it. I even told the lady from BUB that it was my son. Hehe! Yun lang! Just want to share. :)

Update on our health

I noticed I haven’t talked about us for the past few days here in our blog so let me just give you an update on our health.

Paul – is gaining weight. Hehe! I thought he’ll lose weight from everyday travel to Laguna and back here in Marikina. But looks like I’m wrong. :) Maybe because he eats dinner upon arriving home so that’s around 9:30 already and will sleep around 11pm. Di masyadong natunawan. Hehe! But I heard him tell our yaya not to prepare dinner anymore from this day on because he plans to lose weight. I wish him luck! Hehe!

Me – I’m doing ok. I just suffer from colds everyday. As in everyday! Kakainis! But other than that I’m doing great. I weigh 133lbs now at 26 weeks and 4 days. I passed my OGCT so I’m free to eat chocolate (yippee!) and other sweets. Hehe! I was 140lbs when I gave birth to Lance and I hope I’ll weigh the same if not lower than that. Wish me luck! With the way I eat now, mukhang lalagpas ako ng 140lbs. waahhh!!!

Lance – often has cough. Feeling ko because of the weather. Thank God naman di pa siya nagka-asthma ulit. Though there was one time na medyo nahihirapan na siya mag breathe, I just gave him meds before leaving for work and gave yaya instructions and when I got home ok na siya ult. There was also one time na I thought he has diarrhea. Kasi several days he poops mga 3 times tapos yung last was mga 5 times. Pero he’s ok naman. Hindi yung parang nanghihina or something. When we went to his pedia for his immunization, the doctor said he’s just removing toxic from his body kaya no need to worry, lalo na in his case na he doesn’t mind naman kahit na how many times mag poop in a day. Lance now weighs 14.3kgs. Bigat pa din hehe! I need to schedule lang his nex visit to the pedia-dentist. Bad ko, I don’t brush his teeth everyday eh. :(

Baby girl – is very comfortable inside mommy’s tummy. Hehe! Pero last week, I got scared kasi parang ilang days na feeling ko she’s not moving so I texted my OB. She advised me to visit her para ma-check but I was busy so I was not able to go. My officemates are starting to panic na when I told them that pero ako naman di pa masyado because I don’t feel any pain pero syempre ayoko lang pa-obvious that I was scared too. Tapos the day I decided to go to the OB she moved na so ok na ulit. Feeling ko lang she got tired because last week I was always out on field. But I still visited my OB last sat since that’s my schedule talaga. My OB naman told me her heartbeat is ok and the size is ok too. She even moved when my OB was trying to hear her heartbeat. We also heard her heartbeat and syempre si Paul tuwang-tuwa. I’ll have my check up again next month and by then my OB will give us slip na for 4D ultrasound. We’ll see na kung sino kamukha ni baby. Hehe!

Ayan this is quite long na! We thank God that all of us are healthy and we pray na sana laging ganon. I hope you enjoyed reading. :)

Trial Class at Tumbletots

Lance had a trial class at tumble tots a few weeks ago since we’re thinking of enrolling him on their Active Play class come June. We arrived early so the receptionist showed me their play area and even showed me their rooms if in case I’ll be interested in enrolling Lance on their toddler classes. I liked their amenities and Lance had fun walking around the school.
Unfortunately, I did not like our experience during the trial class. The teacher was not guiding or even teaching us on what to do and was just observing all the kids playing. I was hoping that she’ll at least tell us or demonstrate to Lance on how to do things. Plus I don’t like that they’re not so strict on the number of companions each child has. There’s this one child who’s on trial class too that aside from his mom has 4 other kids with him who joined in the class (and these kids are a lot older than Lance). So you could just imagine when it was time to explore, those bigger kids were the first ones to try everything and they did not even behave properly. L I also noticed that they don’t have a program or parang a list of activities to do every class. They just started with the singing and then play time na on which the teacher naman did not do anything. Kaya ayun, I decided not to enroll him there anymore.
In fairness to them naman, maybe the teacher was like that because it’s almost the end of their summer classes so the kids who were enrolled during summer class were already familiar with what to do. Pero kahit na, what about us who doesn’t know di ba? And we’re potential customers pa so sayang. Pero I have a friend naman who had a trial class there and they had a great time naman so siguro it just did not meet my expectations. What I like din lang there is their slide, hehe! (Lance loves to slide kasi) and the songs during circle time because they use songs from Barney so Lance is familiar with it. :)
Below are some of the pictures during our trial class:

Trial Class at Kindermusik

We had a trial class at Kindermusik in P. Tuazon last month pa and it’s just now that I get the chance to blog about it. I liked the class naman and Teacher Maya and Teacher Beth were both nice and they sing very well. I was thinking of enrolling Lance here for their summer class because I was hoping it will help him develop his speech or at least encourage him to talk.

When we were there, I noticed that Lance prefers running around than joining in the circle. He followed me naman when I asked him to sit with me and listen to the teachers. But I think he prefers his class at the Little Gym than at Kindermusik. Paul and I also noticed that their class is big having 10 kids. But there are 2 teachers naman so it’s ok. What we don’t like lang is the wide age gap. The class is from 1.6 years old to 3 years old. Lance is only 1.7 yrs old and he has classmates whom I think are 3 yrs old na. We just felt that Lance might be too young pa if we enroll him there. So we did not push through with our plans of enrolling him and also because the summer class only has 6 classes and we have several plans every week for this month of May which may only make Lance miss his classes. We’re still considering enrolling class at Kindermusik but maybe when he’s a little older na.

We also had a trial class at tumble tots but I’ll post about it next time. :)

Lance at TLG

We attended a make up class at the little gym I think 3 weeks ago pa and we’re lucky because it was Midway Matinee where both parents can join the class and take pictures. So Paul and I and sometimes even Lance’s nanny were there inside the gym all at the same time.

I noticed that the Saturday class has more kids compared to Lance’s Sunday class but its ok since the teacher naman can attend to all of the children. Lance bumped to one of his classmates twice and Ethan (his classmate) started crying. Lance cried din when he saw Ethan crying. Funny pa kasi their other classmate, Santiago saw both of them crying and his face was like, what’s going on? I carried Lance when he cried pero I don’t think naman he’s hurt kaya when I put him down, he started running and playing na. Kakatuwa yung mga kids.

Here are some pics at the make up class. I was not able to take a lot of pictures because Lance kept on running and I can’t run and follow him. :)
