Kids' Interests

As mentioned in my previous post, we attended a party yesterday and took home lots of prizes. One of them is this small drum set which my daughter loves to play now. She’s been telling me that she wanted to learn how to play the drums ever since she got a chance to use/play a real drum set. One was during our family Christmas party in Batangas and just recently at Joaqui’s 7th birthday party. I know my daughter is more inclined into arts and music while my son is into sports. When we were at the mall last Saturday, we passed by the area where they sell music instruments. Hannah immediately went there and tried playing the keyboards. She also saw Selmer Clarinets and asked me how it works. She also tried to strum the guitar but got frustrated when it doesn’t make a sound being an electric guitar. Anyway, I’m really glad my kids are showing interests in something else not just in playing gadgets. I really like them to learn to play at least 1 instrument and also to learn how to swim and have interest in other sports, like basketball and volleyball. Both are showing it now and I will support them as long as I can. :)

Ila's Birthday

Yesterday, we attended Ila’s first birthday party at New Manila.  We got there a little late for we just got back from Batangas after visiting my father’s mahogany trees.  Thankfully we made it before the host started with her games.
As always, we had so much fun.  The kids got so many prizes and loot and Hannah loves the dining set she got from the balloon burst.  It was open air so the venue was a little hot but the kids don’t mind for they are having a great time.
Paul and I love Leodini’s magic illusions.  It was our first time to see his magic show and we were amazed!!!
Anyway, thank you again Kaje for inviting us.  We sure had fun and Happy 1st Birthday again Ilaboo!

New Business

My cousin in the US called me the other day to tell me about his new business.  He is really excited about it and preparations and launching are in full swing.  They are busy promoting it which includes giving out flyers and announcing it at social networking sites.  They said that they’re happy they found flyer printing at printingamerica.com because it has good quality and at the same time can meet their needs.  I really am happy for him and I really hope his business will succeed. :)

Joaqui's Birthday

When I told Lance that we will be attending Joaqui’s birthday party, he was really excited to go.  Joaqui is like his “best friend” among my mommy friends’ kids since they’re of the same age and they hit it off well when they met at Byko’s 1st birthday party.
It was a rockstar party and it was really great!  Peachy chose a venue that’s really fit for the theme and Joaqui showed how good he is in playing the drums.  And yes he is good! My kids had a great time as always.  Thank you again Peachy for inviting us and happy birthday again to Joaqui!

5 Celebrations That Deserve to be Remembered with a Portrait

There are many special occasions that should be captured on camera, however some events call for something extra special. When looking to create a series of stunning photographs that will help you to remember certain milestones in life, you should consider hiring a professional photographer. Here are 5 celebrations that deserve to be remembered with a portrait.

Weddings

Getting a portrait done on your wedding day is the perfect way to document the start of your lives together, and a great way to remember your very special day. Many couples choose to have their favourite image enlarged and framed, so they can always have a wonderful reminder of their wedding day on display in their home.

New Arrivals

Celebrating the birth of a new family member is a perfect opportunity for a family portrait. Documenting your family’s growth is very important, and there’s no better way to do this than with a portrait. While home photos are great, there’s something very special about images that have been taken by a professional. Organise a family portrait to welcome your new arrival, and you will have a timeless set of images and memories that will last forever.

Anniversaries

When you’re looking for great anniversary ideas, why not consider a romantic portrait to capture the love that you both share. Scheduling a portrait for your anniversary allows you to reconnect and spend some quality time in a fun and enjoyable setting. The photos are a reflection of your love for one another, and make a great mutual gift.

Graduations

Graduating is a huge step for your children as they get ready to forge their own path in the world. Getting a family portrait for their graduation is not only a wonderful way to preserve memories, it is also a perfect way to celebrate the years of hard work that has gone into studying and preparing for this big day. Your kids will always be able to look back on their portrait with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Birthdays

With kids growing up so quick, it almost feels like you could blink and they will already be adults. Celebrating milestone birthdays with a fun family portrait means you will always be able to look back and see every step on their journey as they grow and change. It is also a poignant visual diary of your family and their growth over the years.
No matter how much we want to remember things clearly, memories often fade. This is why it is so important to invest in quality portraits to capture the moment and ensure that these precious memories are preserved forever. The key to the perfect portrait is to find the right photographer. Luckily if you’re looking for a photographer, Brisbane has a number of professional and skilled individuals to cater for every occasion. Choosing the right photographer will ensure that you have a great portrait experience, with the result being natural, high quality photos that truly represent you and your loved ones.

Chelsea's 8th Birthday!

The daughter of my sister’s friend celebrated her 8th birthday last week.  At first, my sister was planning to take Hannah only to the party while Paul, Lance and I are going to Batangas to take my mom there since she wants to spend Holy Week in the province.  That didn’t push thru because Paul had to work and so Lance and I joined in the party.
We’re glad we joined the party because as usual we had fun.  It was good to see old faces again since they have been my sister’s friends since grade school and it was good to see how their friendship had grown.  It made me miss my friends though.:(
Anyway, thanks again Irene for inviting us.  My kids had a really great time and it was nice to see you again.  Happy birthday again to Chelsea!:)

Musicians

My sister and I were talking about my cousin who loves music.  She’s a great singer, knows how to play the guitar and the keyboards as well and is married to a musician too.  His husband plays bass guitar and knows how to play the drums too!  No wonder their kids also love music even if they are just 1 and 3 years old.  Start them young right! :)
Anyway, I really love listening to them when they talk about music but there are times that I get lost in the conversation especially when they talk about different stuff to enhance the instrument they are using.  Like my cousin said she’d like to buy audio-technica ath-m50, and some drum sticks, etc.  I really hope my kids will learn to love music too, for now both of them loves to dance, while my daughter loves to sing too! Next time I’ll encourage them to learn to play one instrument each.  Good luck to me! :)
