Nina's 7th Birthday

I don’t have pictures yet but I just want to say we had a blast at Nina’s 7th birthday party yesterday held at the Northeast Greenhills Clubhouse. They had photo booth, kiddie salon, glitter tattoo, food carts and of course buffet meals. We were all so full after eating that we need to get the top rated diet pills to lose the unwanted pounds we had for that day. I was so proud of my kids who were not shy and joined in the fashion show even if we did not practice hehe. I was also proud of Paul who won in one of the games so as to get a prize for the kids :D We all went home tired but happy. Pictures to follow soon. :)

Before

Here’s how we looked 8 years ago. Sorry for the blurred picture. This was taken when we were having a clean up program in the office when Paul was still working there. I was just cleaning up my files here in my laptop when I saw this and I just can’t imagine how slim we were back then. We should really start taking slimming pills that work and hopefully go back to that figure again. :D

Fitting

Last Saturday, I met my HS friends for my first fitting for their wedding. When I looked in the mirror, I wanted to cry because I really look so big! I should think on ways on how to lose weight fast since the wedding will be on July already and I haven’t shed a pound yet! I really should work doubly hard to at least lose some pounds! Good luck to me!

Time To Buy

Our washing machine gave up on us a few weeks ago and wouldn't work anymore. The dryer still works though but the one doing the washing totally conked out. We think that one of the culprits is the typhoon ondoy that hit our country and our area was one of the most affected cities. Our furniture and other equipment including the washing machine were covered with water and mud for almost twenty four hours during that frightful night. Anyhow, my maids indirectly told me to buy a new washing machine so that it will be easier and faster for them when they do the laundry. Paul and I then went to the mall to canvass and check the features of the washing machines. We’re comparing those of the twin tubs versus the automatic ones to see which one will be appropriate for us. We haven’t arrived with a decision yet but as soon as we have one, I’m sure I’ll need a payday advance for payment to this machine. :)

Free At Last

My friend called me this morning to tell me that finally she’s free from all debts on her credit cards. I remember when she was crying to me telling me that she had no discipline in using her cards and that now she’s in debt and doesn’t know what to do. I told her that for a start, she should stop using her credit cards and start paying them off. She did that and she also called her bank to have a credit card debt settlement and come up with a solution for her to be able to pay them and at the same time she won’t get bankrupt. Looks like it worked since she’s now debt free!
I remember I was once in the same situation as hers and thank God I was able to settle my bills. With the result of that, I decided I don’t want to use a card anymore but instead use a debit card whenever I buy items. :)

Enrollment Time

I heard some people here in the office complaining that it is again time to enroll their children to school. Some of them resort to having payday advance since their salary can’t cover for the tuition of their children. Some have three or four children to enroll and they have to find ways to make sure that their kids will be able to go to school.
We’re thankful that we were able to enroll Lance already and is just waiting for a call from their school on what time will their orientation be. When I enrolled Lance three weeks ago, I was told that our schedule for orientation will be on June 5 and we will just wait for their call for the exact time. I’m glad almost everything is included in their tuition such as books, field trips, art materials, uniform, etc. I just need to Lance a pair of shoes and a trustworthy school service and we’re all set. I now have a pre-schooler!

Paul the Pirate

Paul is on leave today due to the stye in his left eye. He was complaining about it last week and even took a leave last Friday to visit an ophthalmologist. He was given an eye drop and was asked to comeback today. This afternoon he went back to the doctor to have his eye checked. The doctor said he needs to remove the pus and scrape it to make sure that he was able to remove the bacteria. When he was done, he texted me and asked if I can pick him up at the hospital and so I went. I was expecting I’ll see him with an eye patch because he won’t be asking me to go there if he can go home by himself. I’m sure he’s uncomfortable without his glasses and just wants to make sure he’ll be fine. He said naman that the doctor told him he can remove the eye patch tomorrow and just clean it with mineral water. He was also given a prescription in case there’s pain. And so here he is now:

Lance was surprised when he saw his dad but he was ok with it. Hannah on the other hand doesn’t want to go near him. She only hugs and kisses her dad if I go with her. Hehe! I hope by tomorrow, Paul’s eyes will be better na :)

You and your mom are practically clones.

You think alike, and you even seem to read each other's minds.

And while you get along well now, you probably fought when you were a teenager.

You're definitely you're mother's child... and that's just fine with you.

Missing the Gym

Yup I stopped going to the gym again. It’s been more than a month since I last went there. I don’t know why, I just feel tired every end of the day that I don’t have energy to go to the gym anymore, though I know deep inside I miss it. I often think how I will lose weight if I don’t eat well and no proper exercise. Maybe I should just buy a fitness equipment so that at least I can do my exercise at home. Plus, I won’t be the only one who’s going to use it so it’s gonna be a win-win situation. I should probably start checking on those equipments soon.

Laptops, Monitors, Etc

Our office is trying to save on cost and some employees suggested that the monitors be changed from CRT to LCD. Some were issued LCD monitors already while others are still using CRT. My monitor used to be CRT too before I was issued a laptop. When my boss told me, she’ll issue me a laptop, I secretly hoped that they’ll be issuing a netbook since I found pretty nice netbooks on the web and are cheaper too. But don’t get me wrong, I’m enjoying the laptop issued to me for it is light and also smaller compared to the regular size and at the same time I get to use it at home for personal stuff. :)

We hope that we will be accredited for this is our first time to serve the government.

Excited!

I’ll be seeing my college friends on Friday and I really am looking forward to it. It’s because almost everyone in the group will be present. We have a friend whom we haven’t seen since graduation because she worked out of the country and now she’s here so she’ll join us. There’s also another friend whom I think the last time we saw her was 5 years ago during her wedding. I chat to her often but as mentioned, it’s been 5 years since we last met. We booked a condotel in Makati so that we’ll have the whole night to catch up with what’s going on in our lives and just bond. I hope it’s Friday already! J

You Are a Zippy Iced Coffee
You are energetic, modern, and a total risk taker.
You treat coffee as a quick way to get caffeine, and you're not about to slow down for a warm cup of it.

Of all the coffee drinkers, you are the most experimental. You have no problem trying out a new coffee shop or flavor.

Remembering My College Days

I remember when I was still studying in college. I took up engineering which means almost all of my subjects are heavy on math. I have math homework almost everyday or if not, I have plenty of solving problems during classes. Some of my classmates even seek free math tutoring for they can’t handle it anymore. Maybe they feel as if their brain is going to blow up! I felt that way too before because of too much studying and whenever I feel that I’m giving up, I rest, relax and eat. After a few I hours, I’m back to myself solving math problems. During 2nd year I thought I would be getting Calculus help because I thought it was so complicated and heavy. Thank God I manage to pass the subject. My friends got help in Calculus and because of that they were able to pass the subject. I’m really thankful that there are sites like this to help students understand the subject more and at the same time won’t have to worry on payment because its free!

How to Choose the Best Shower Tray?

Are you thinking it's about time to remodel your bathroom and make it more user friendly, add a little more style, or just plain update it? If so, if you are looking to replace your shower, you will need to install a new shower tray as well. A shower tray is the part of the shower that is on the floor and provides the base of the enclosure.

Years ago people weren't given much of a choice when it came to deciding to purchase a shower tray for a bathroom remodel or new build. However, nowadays, there is a wide range of different styles, shapes, and materials available when looking for a shower tray. It makes it possible to personalize your bathroom even more. Though having many choices is a good thing to have, it can also make the decision process a little more difficult. So, how do you chose which shower tray will be the best one for you and your bathroom?

Cost is usually one of the greatest factors people consider in determining what shower tray they will buy. We all know how important it is to stay within a budget during a bathroom remodel, but you also need to take into consideration other factors too. The durability of a shower tray should be considered and you'll want to choose one that is well made and is going to last. You will want your shower tray to not only be tough and strong, but also light and easy to install.

Also, the design and shape of your shower will have a bearing on what choice of shower tray you need to get. Shower trays come in many different shapes and sizes, the most common ones being rectangle, circle, pentangle (corner type), and quadrant and you will have to do your homework to know what kind you will need to purchase for your bathroom.

Erectile Dysfunction

Though it seems like a modern problem for men, erectile dysfunction is not a problem of our age. As old as the supposed "longest profession on Earth" has been in business, so has the problem of erectile dysfunction. Companies have only just recently began to address this issue that has been stressing men out for centuries. In the last decade, it has become a possibility for older men to enjoy themselves as much as younger men. The drugs that are available on the market have many pros, such as increased confidence and self-esteem, in addition to the more obvious function.

Men need to buy Cialis if they are having problems with their regular functions more frequently than once a month, on average. It's a good idea for a man and his partner to keep track of his erectile dysfunctions, in order to relay that information to a medical professional at a later date. If you don't keep track of those issues as they arise, you may forget them and not have solid information to give to your health care provider.

Buy Cialis if you want to boost your self-esteem after months or years of difficulties, but not for recreational use. A lot of younger men have bought drugs illegally, and had serious medical issues as a result of misuse. Make sure that you only use the amount that is prescribed to you and that you never use it more often than it is recommended. Erectile dysfunction is an issue that has plagued men for centuries, yes, but it is a problem that now has an answer. The only catch is that users of these new medications need to use them only as needed and recommended. If you want to free yourself from nervousness and stress, then consider this prescription for yourself.

WSOP Player Spotlight: Barry Greenstein

Barry Greenstein is renowned as one of the most humble, noble, and charitable figures in modern poker. Even when losing (including to unlikely hands), Greenstein remains courteous. Beyond that, he goes out of his way to make a difference among those in the field of poker and elsewhere. He has been dubbed "the Robin Hood of poker," due to the fact that he gives away all of his tournament winnings to charity.

How can he do this? The answer is quite simple. Greenstein is one of the world's most impressive ring game players, and has made his living, and far more than that, in table winnings alone. It has been stated that no one has won more at the tables in the last decade than he has. He then turned around and wisely invested this money in real estate. He has enough financial security that he's comfortable donating all of his winnings to charity.

His placement in the WSOP is very notable. With 44 money finishes and three bracelets, Greenstein undoubtedly ranks among the best. With fantastic placement in other tours like the World Poker Tour and European Poker Tour, the amount that Greenstein has donated to charity over the years is truly immense. One unique tournament that he won was a father son tournament, where his son Joe Sebok (also a professional poker player) paired with him for a strong money finish.

Greenstein plays many games, both at the tables for profit and at tournaments for charities, and has been featured on various poker shows and invited to most major invitationals. In one of the High Stakes Poker episodes, Greenstein took a dare to say the phrase "LOL donkaments," which garnered an extra $55,000 for charity. Clearly, this is a player who is willing to make sacrifices for certain causes and charities!
