Hannah

Hannah's almost a month old now and is getting bigger and heavier. The marks on her face are also slowly disappearing. I remember one time when one of my cousins visited her and asked about those marks. I just told her that newborn babies have those marks and it will eventually disappear without undergoing any acne treatment. Here’s Hannah at two weeks old. Can you see the marks?

Thing to Consider

If there’s one thing I shouldn’t worry while I’m at this training, it’s pimples. Back home, sweat and dust would easily clog my oil glands, creating an outbreak. Fortunately I don’t get that much pimples, even during puberty so I don't really need acne products. But right here, no sweat, no pollution, pimple free. I haven’t even seen a local here with pimples. Maybe I could consider this to be a place to migrate.

What to Wear?

I’m now overseas to attend a series of trainings at one of our company’s factories. Before my trip, I was trying to think of what clothes to bring over. I was thinking if I should pack some long sleeved shirts and slacks, and maybe a few silk ties. I just decided to pack my polo shirts jeans and a couple of slacks. It turned out that jeans and collared shirts were the norm in the factory. Even my co-trainees and the trainers were dressed casually. Now that’s my kind of attire.

Another Trip

I drove Paul to the airport last Saturday for his training in Germany. He’ll be there for two weeks and will be back on Nov.3. All of us in the house (yes including Hannah) went to the airport with him. Before he left, Paul kept on asking me if he packed everything he needs. I told him I think it’s complete already though I wanted to tell him to bring some diet pills. Hehe! I just had a chat with him the other night and he’s in Germany already. I’m glad he had a safe trip and can’t wait to see him again. :)

Christmas Gifts

Christmas shopping has started for some people and mall sale are everywhere. As for me, I just started listing down our godchildren including their age so that I’ll know what to give them. I might give educational toys for those 0-5 years old while I’m thinking of giving funny t-shirts for chidren 6-12 years old. What about you? Have you started with your Christmas shopping?

Lance's Birthday!

Again another super late post. Lance turned 2 last September 27 and we just had a simple celebration at home. We first heard mass at 6:30am then went home after. We did not prepare a party for Lance since it's too close to my EDD. Anyway, it was super simple. Aside from the people at home, Lance's guests are his cousins. Ok na din! We're glad they came and celebrated Lance's birthday with us. We just prepared spaghetti, hotdogs, lumpia and my sister bought cake at Contis. Busog naman kami and happy naman si Lance. Hehe! Thanks again to Patrick and family for coming over. :)

Financial Alternatives

I mentioned in my previous post about advance loans. There’s another site I saw that also give payday loans. It’s essentially the same thing, you get your cash fast. But they don’t stop there. They also give some tips and insights on how to fix your credit and give alternatives on how to do it. They have options for debt consolidation loans, car loans, refinancing, mortgages, debt settlement and credit repair. This may all be finance jargon to some people but they have detailed explanations and scenarios on their home page. So if you’re thinking about getting a loan, read up on it and check out their payday advance loan, or their numerous other alternatives.

Money Matters

With the current economic crisis and rising cost of living, people are tightening their belts and scrimping even more. Some people manage to get by but the problem is when there are unexpected expenses to be made. There are several options like bank loans and cash advance from your credit card. The thing is with bank loans, it may take time for you the get the cash, while for credit cards, you just might have bad credit. Another popular alternative nowadays are payday advance loans from online financial institutions. It’s relatively easy to qualify for a loan, and the loan can be deposited to your account as soon as the next day. Interest rates can be a little high, but hey if you need cash immediately, I guess it could be well worth it.

Tadeo Get Together

A month ago (haha! super late post), Paul's siblings and their family went here to get their share from the balikbayan box that my FIL and their step mother sent. It was really a good time for the kids and for us adults to bond.

Kids got toys, clothes, pencils and stickers and of course chocolates. We got Spam canned goods and some t-shirts. I was also happy with the diapers we got. It was too small for all of the kids so we got them for Hannah. We'll sure save a lot from those. Hehe!

To Dad and Tita Flor, thanks so much!
