Sari-saring Kwento

I don’t have any update yet on TECO. As of today, we’re still thinking of what to do to convince them that our license is valid. For now, I’ll update you with what I’ve been doing lately.

First, my friends and I went to sound stage in Cainta to watch a show by Bamboo. We really had a great time watching them. At first, their front act bands were not really good, as in you’ll get bored listening to them but as soon as Bamboo played, waiting for them and watching those front act bands paid off. Galing talaga! Bamboo played with high energy. As in madadala ka sa performance nila! I really enjoyed watching them that night and I’m looking forward to watching their next show.

Second kwento, we have a new office. It’s located at Kalayaan, Quezon City. We haven’t transferred yet because they’re not done yet with the cabling for LAN, phone lines and internet. After that, we can transfer na. It will be our 5th transfer. We used to work at Benpres office in ortigas. My first was at the 3rd floor then we transferred to 5th floor, then to 2nd floor. Then we moved to Pajo (here in QC) then when the cabling for the new office is done, we’ll transfer there naman. That will be my 5th transfer in my 6 yrs here in the company. Here are some pics during the blessing. We will transfer daw as soon as they’re done with the cabling.

Last kwento, the Lopez Group of Companies held an activity last Oct. 8 for Knowledge Channel. We walked from Luneta to Cuneta Astrodome (actually, I did not walk with them as much as I want to. I was assigned to Cuneta Astrodome to ensure that our company will have an area and there will be seats available when they get to Cuneta for the program). I just waited for them to arrive. Medyo boring coz I can see them lang sa tv and it looked like they’re having fun. After the program by Knowledge Channel, we stayed for the wowowee show. 2 employees per company will be playing “pera o bayong” and if they win 1M, they will give it to the partner school. The employee naman will get a showcase. Sayang, our two representatives made it to the finals. There were three of them left but unfortunately, the other contestant won. Pero ok lang, at least they get to play and we had fun watching them. At first, I can’t relate to the show coz as I’ve mentioned before I’m a certified Kapuso. As in, I don’t watch shows in channel 2. After watching wowowee, makakanta ko na yata yung jingle nila! It was fun and they really give out money to contestants pero di pa din maaalis yung pagka-kapuso ko! Loyal to! Hehehe!

After that, some of us went to Manila Zoo since it’s near Cuneta. Ganon pa din yung Manila Zoo, wala na nga lang yung giraffe. Namatay na siguro! Hehehe! It was the same Manila Zoo I’ve seen in my grade school days. Wala pa din pinagbago, but just the same, it was fun pa din kasi officemates naman kasama ko.

TECO Update

Don’t know how to start this. It leads me to tears whenever I think of what transpired on my visit to TECO last Friday. (Read na lang my last post about my problem.)

Last Thursday, I finally got a copy of our application for marriage license and our actual marriage license. It took me awhile coz I still need to get the approval from the parish priest of Malate. So finally, I got the copy last Thursday and went to TECO Friday morning. After submitting the docs, the lady still told me that they can’t issue me an authenticated marriage contract and in effect a resident visa because of the same reason. That Paul was not present when we applied for the marriage license. I explained to the girl that we asked permission from the city hall if it’s ok if I’ll be the one to pass the application and the city hall allowed us. So it’s not our fault anymore kasi if city hall naman did not allow us, I’ll ask Paul to come home eh. But still, the girl won’t give in. Kaya I asked her what should I do. She told me na they can always grant me a visitor’s visa but not a resident visa. Feeling ko tuloy, ano to, pakunswelo? Haayyy…. Don’t know what to do anymore. One option is to get endorsement from city hall (na sana magbigay sila and sana I-accept na ng TECO, and the other option is for me to find a job there para I can get a resident visa on my own and not be dependent on Paul).

Please continue praying for us. Ang hirap eh…. Thanks po!

Haayyyy……

I’m currently processing my documents for Taiwan so that I can be with Paul na. I was asked by TECO (Taipei Economic and Cultural Office) to submit so many documents so that I can get a visa. I need to get an authenticated marriage contract from their office but before that I first need to have the NSO marriage contract authenticated by malacañang and dfa. Whew! So many authentications….

Finally, I was able to submit the NSO marriage contract authenticated by malacañang and dfa last Friday. The girl from the counter told me to come back the following Friday to get the authenticated marriage contract. I was super happy then coz I’m a few steps away from being with Paul. Come afternoon, someone from TECO texted me and asked me to submit our application for marriage license. I didn’t understand at first what she was talking about kaya I called her and asked. She was questioning our marriage contract. She was asking me why we were issued a marriage license when in fact Paul wasn’t here at that time. According to her, the family code here in the Phils requires both parties to be present when submitting the application for marriage license. I then explained to her that last February when Paul was here, we asked the civil registry of QC hall to allow us to submit even if only one of us is present. We will comply with all the requirements but we can’t pass it yet because of the 120 days requirement from the church (your marriage license should be valid within 120 days prior to the date of your wedding). We explained to the person from the city hall that Paul is working abroad and that we can’t pass it together, and that we can’t pass it yet on February because of the 120 days nga. We told him na we will pass it na lang on April but it will just be me coz Paul will be back in Taiwan by then. And thank God the person from the city hall approved of it. So we got our license na and got married last June.

The problem now naman is that the girl from TECO nga was asking about it. She’s then asking me to get a certified true copy of our application for a marriage license from QC hall. I called city hall this morning but they said that I should get the copy we submitted from the church. Haayyy…. Habang process na naman. Tomorrow I will call Ruth of Malate Church to ask if we can get a copy of that. Hopefully she’ll allow us to have one.

Please pray with me na I can have a copy of the license and that TECO will give us an authenticated marriage contract and eventually a resident visa. All we want is to be together….
