What Would Jesse Do?

I read an article in the news with the same title.  I just can’t see it anymore that I can’t share the link with you.  Anyway, Sec Jesse Robredo was laid to rest today and as we still mourn for his loss, I hope we learned something from everything that was said about him.  I hope his death is again a wake up call for us to do something good for our country.  Like what his daughter Aika mentioned in one of her interviews, it doesn’t have to be grand, what’s important is you made someone happy with what you did.
I still believe that the Philippines can be a better nation, we just have to be honest with what we do, having integrity and conviction, and really fight for graft and corruption, just like how Sec Robredo was, and our country will be better.  RIP Sec Robredo, thank you for your service to the nation.

Work Concern

As mentioned in my previous blog, I took some work at home because I’m having difficulty understanding them and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to answer and analyse some at home.  It is really a challenge for me because I don’t have a back ground in IT and I now belong to the IT Division.  Though I don’t do any programming stuff, understanding some terminologies are really new to me.  Plus my approach to QA review is different on what they’re doing now.  But it’s ok since I get to learn a lot. I just hope I’ll meet the expectations from my boss on what I will accomplish.

Long Weekend Again

We again will be having a long weekend and I can’t wait for it.  Some of my friends were able to book a vacation but I didn’t since we’re saving and at the same time I brought home some work from the office that I need to accomplish asap.
Anyway, what we’re sure we’ll be doing are (1) attend a half day talk in Ateneo on bullying; (2) take the kids to fun ranch again since we still have vouchers that will expire at the end of the month; and (3) go to NBC tent for the gift gate sale.  Other than that, we will just stay home and bond. :)

Garage Floor

Our garage at home is not really fully furnished.  A portion of the garage is cemented while the other half is not.  If the house we are occupying now is ours, I would really have it repaired and search for great garage floors so that the car will have even floor garage.  At the same time, I’ll make sure that the entire garage will be covered so that the car roof will not be affected by the heat of the sun.  But since it is not ours, I’d have it as it is and will just save the money for our future house. :)

Fun Day at Fun Ranch

We brought the kids to fun ranch last Saturday since Paul and I have no work on that day.  I really love that Paul now has a regular schedule that we can plan our weekends better.  We used the vouchers we bought at Metrodeal so the kids had unlimited play at the playdium and unlimited rides as well.  We also have spaghetti from the big red barn so it was really a Saturday that I didn’t get to spend much but the kids enjoyed completely.

Since Hannah is only 3 yrs old, she needs to be accompanied by an adult inside the playdium so I went with her while Paul was at the waiting area playing with the iPod.  I got really tired running after her and there are times that I don’t follow her anymore because I don’t think I can fit inside the tubes where they pass. LOL!

After an hour of playing at the playdium, their cousins arrived and invited us to go with them in the rides outside.  So the kids went out of the playdium and joined their cousins.  After that, we rested and availed of our spaghetti since the kids were tired and hungry too.
After eating the kids resumed with the rides and Lance joined them.  Hannah on the other hand preferred playing at the playdium so I stayed there with her.  When I think she’s tired already, we went out and looked for Paul and Lance.

We took both of them to fishing to cool them down before going home.  At that time too, the rain started falling so they really can’t play anymore. :)
It was really a fun day spent with the kids.
