Our weekend

We spent our weekend at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila (that’s formerly known as westin, but it’s under new management already, thus the name sofitel). My sister has a discount there and since Paul is here, we decided to check in. Before going to the hotel, we dropped by first to Mall of Asia to have lunch and to check also what it looks like. All of us haven’t been to that mall. It’s nice but I find it too big. The shops are far from one another thus making you tired to go shopping. We had lunch at KKK. They serve delicious food and the price is affordable.

After lunch, we went na to the hotel to check in. They’re fully booked and there are celebrities also. My sister saw donita rose and gary v while checking in, tapos Paul and I saw marvin agustin. Lance was asleep when we arrive so that gave us time to swim at the pool. Sarap talaga magswim. We don’t have a pic lang while swimming because we left our camera at the room.

After swimming we just stayed in our room and played with Lance. Come morning, we went out again for a stroll at the pool side and for some picture taking. Then my sister went for a swim tapos we went back na to our room for Lance’s bath.

Then we checked out at 12pm, had lunch at blue wave and went to greenbelt to hear mass then went home.

Update

I’m quite busy now and visited my blog for a quick update.

Last Tuesday, I had other ocular inspection. This time around we went to subic. We visited dungaree, all hands and camayan. Among the three, we’re leaning towards camayan. The facility is better than the other two and they even have an area for snorkeling. I just hope that it will fit our budget for the company outing.

I don’t think I’ve mentioned that my dear husband is here for 2 ½ weeks. He arrived last Feb. 14, and has been staying in the house taking
care of Lance since then. I’ve found a new yaya. Hehe! I’m just glad that they have time to bond because the only time that Paul was here was when I gave birth and last November when Lance was baptized. But he just stayed over the weekend at that time. Now Paul is really catching up on the times he was gone. He’s the one taking care of Lance whenever I’m at work, and he’s really having fun especially now that Lance smiles a lot and is doing many tricks already. I’m sure they’ll both miss each other when Paul leaves again.

Anyway, since Paul is here, I went on leave yesterday to have a family photo shoot at blow-up-babies. We’ll get the proofs next week and I’ll post it here in our blog. Paul and I have so many plans, kaanis lang because I have so many things to do that I can’t go on at least a 3 day leave. Hopefully next week, I’ll have more time to spend with them. This weekend we’ll check in at Westin with my sister then we’ll go to MOA. Hehe! We’re all excited coz that will be our first time to go to MOA.

Also, yesterday was Ash Wednesday. Paul and I went to hear mass at greenbelt. The chapel and the whole greenbelt park are really full of people. It was really nice to see people still practicing their faith coz I’ve known some who don’t go to mass anymore. I just remember what the priest said during the sermon. It’s not having the ashes put on your forehead if you don’t really change for the better. If you just do that for the practice, better not to do it anymore. Putting ashes on the forehead is admitting your faults and hoping and committing to change for the better. I do hope that all of the people who were there yesterday, including me and paul are really serious in changing our lives to become good Christians.

Ocular Inspection

Last Tuesday, I went to Calatagan and Nasugbu, Batangas with some of my officemates to check out the beaches for our summer outing. We went to Lago de Oro, Golden Sunset, Munting Buhangin and some beaches in Matabungkay. Our target for the summer outing is on March 24 kaya as early as now nag ocular na kami. Our boss does not want to go out on April since malapit na daw yon sa election.

I do that every year because they know how much I love the beach and parang by default my boss gave that to me as additional task. It was really fun but very tiring because we need to hop from one beach to another pero syempre ok din since I get to visit a lot of possible venues for family outing as well.

Among all the beaches we visited, the best option for me is Lago de Oro because of the amenities. They have a pool and you can go swimming at the beach and they also have cable ski where you can enjoy waterskiing or wakeboarding. Oh di ba! Kakaibang trip naman. Plus they have nice rooms and secured conference rooms where you can put your things if on day tour only.

The next would be munting buhangin because the sand is ok (it’s not white but it’s fine) and the water is clear and near the shoreline. Other beaches kasi, you need to walk far pa before you reach the area where the water is deep especially kung low tide and naisip ko, people might get lazy na to swim since parang ang layo mo na and yet di mo pa nararating yung malalim na area.

I’m quite disappointed with golden sunset. I thought kasi na aside from the pools, you can also go to the beach for swimming but it’s not like that pala. They only have swimming pools. Pero in fairness, they have nice facilities where you can really relax. They have Jacuzzis, Olympic size swimming pool with slide and waterfalls and they also have big kiddie pools. They also have a spa and you can also go fishing and they also have an area where you can play volleyball and an area for obstacle course. Sayang lang talaga yung beach is not ok for swimming. Ang naisip ko don, you travel that far (it’s like 2 hrs from Tagaytay Rotonda) tapos pool din lang naman yung pupuntahan mo, eh there are other resorts naman that are nice also and di pa ganon kalayo. La lang, naisip ko lang. hehe!

I’m not sure if we will also visit the beaches at the north, pero sana para makapasyal ulit, hehe. I still need to update the committee with our ocular inspection and then we’ll decide where we’ll have our summer outing.

How we’re doing…

Just want to share my small accomplishment as a mom. After 4 months, napaliguan ko na si Lance. Hehehe! Bad mommy!!! I was really scared on giving him a bath kasi feeling ko I’ll drown him or if not, mababalian siya sa kin. Hehe!

Last Saturday also, Lance was able to roll over from back to tummy. A week before that from tummy to back naman yung nagawa niya, although di ako yung nakakita (haayy…) since I was at work nung nag roll over siya. Pero nung from back to tummy, I was the one taking care of him. Feeling ko nga nagulat siya kasi I clapped my hands upon seeing him na nag-roll over. Tapos siguro nagulat din siya how it happened pero inulit naman niya. :)

Kakatuwa na si Lance, bukod sa ang laki niya, sarap na niya kalaro. He smiles and laughs a lot. Enjoy na din siya sa peek-a-boo, when I say “where’s mommy” while covering my face tapos pag nakita na niya face ko, tatawa na siya. He sucks his thumb a lot also and plays with his rattles and soft books. Hehe!

Sarap talaga ng may baby, if only I can stay home lang to be with him always. I really enjoy being a mother. It may be tiring sometimes but it’s definitely fulfilling.
