Wish List

Christmas is fast approaching and I’m sure lots of people have started with their shopping for Christmas gifts.  During this time also, I create a wish list for myself hoping that “Santa” will read my wishes and grant at least one in the list. :)

Some of the items in my wish list include gadgets that I really need, well ok want. Hehe!  Some of those in the list are video cam, a new digital camera and of course iPhone 4s.

Among all of these, I think the most important is the video cam.  I realized this when Lance had a performance during the grandparents day.  I was not able to take a clear video of his dance since I’m seated far from the stage and my reliable camera was not able to take a nice video.  Thankfully my sister was able to take a clearer copy of the dance so we were able to share it with friends and families.  Because of this, I thought that we need a video cam since I’m sure there will be more performances on the years to come.  Being a stage mother, I know I’ll be needing this :D

I’ve already checked camcorders online and visited different sites too including Deals Direct which is known to provide good camcorders and at affordable cost. I’m still comparing prices and specs but I have not chosen anything yet.  I also need Paul’s opinion on this to be sure that I’ll be able to get a good deal.  I do hope this Christmas, this wish will be granted. Wink wink!

Dapitan Arcade

Me and my sister went to this place this morning. We have head that this place is famous for having Christmas decors that are nice and yet so cheap. My sis asked me to drive for her since she doesn’t know how to get to Dapitan if coming from our place. So after hearing mass and having our breakfast, off we go to Dapitan. We’re glad that we did not have difficulty getting there and that we were still able to find a good parking spot despite so many cars there. Moreso, we were happy with the items we bought because indeed they were cheap. We bought different styles of Belen to give to our uncles and aunts in the US as our way of saying thank you to them for being there for our parents. We also bought a small holy family to be given to the people who helped us when we got affected by Ondoy. We were not able to give them anything last year since we were still recovering at that time. Anyhow, if you are looking for nice Christmas decors, Dapitan Arcade is the place to visit. The sellers said now is the perfect time because items there are still cheap since it’s only September. They said that the prices will increase when it’s near Christmas time.

Shopping

It's one of the things that my husband hates to hear and do. Whenever I tell him there's a sale and that I would like to go shopping, his reaction is as if his ears are burning that he can't hear anything. I know it's the usual reaction of males and I don't mind whenever he does that. Sometimes though, I tell him if there is an online sale and informs him that there are wholesale dollar items that I think won't put too much damage in our pockets if we buy some. I also tell him of the different dollar store suppliers where we can use our paypal money in shopping. I remember one of our recent conversations; I was asking permission from him if I can buy a new phone or a designer bag but he doesn't want me to. He says it's impractical and if I want to buy a phone it shouldn't be expensive, as long as it does its job like texting or calling, it's enough. He even joked that if I can find it in one of the dollar store products that I visit for shopping; he will allow me to buy them or that if I won the lottery, he will allow me to buy it. Oh well, I guess now my wish to have a new phone won't come true.

Holiday

Our country is celebrating holiday today in recognition of our Independence Day last Saturday. I’m really happy whenever we have Monday offs because I get to play and spend more time with my family.

Today we are going to the mall to buy some school stuffs for Lance. He still doesn’t have school shoes so we will be getting him that, then we also need to buy socks, briefs, rain coat and water jug. As for the Hannah, we need to buy her new sandals. I hope there won’t be too many people at the malls today. :D

How to Choose the Best Shower Tray?

Are you thinking it's about time to remodel your bathroom and make it more user friendly, add a little more style, or just plain update it? If so, if you are looking to replace your shower, you will need to install a new shower tray as well. A shower tray is the part of the shower that is on the floor and provides the base of the enclosure.

Years ago people weren't given much of a choice when it came to deciding to purchase a shower tray for a bathroom remodel or new build. However, nowadays, there is a wide range of different styles, shapes, and materials available when looking for a shower tray. It makes it possible to personalize your bathroom even more. Though having many choices is a good thing to have, it can also make the decision process a little more difficult. So, how do you chose which shower tray will be the best one for you and your bathroom?

Cost is usually one of the greatest factors people consider in determining what shower tray they will buy. We all know how important it is to stay within a budget during a bathroom remodel, but you also need to take into consideration other factors too. The durability of a shower tray should be considered and you'll want to choose one that is well made and is going to last. You will want your shower tray to not only be tough and strong, but also light and easy to install.

Also, the design and shape of your shower will have a bearing on what choice of shower tray you need to get. Shower trays come in many different shapes and sizes, the most common ones being rectangle, circle, pentangle (corner type), and quadrant and you will have to do your homework to know what kind you will need to purchase for your bathroom.

Hitting The Gym Again

Yup I went back to the gym last week I sure did miss it. I had fun during the belly dancing class every Tuesdays and they have a new Dance Aero instructor on Wednesdays. I also enjoyed doing the floor exercises and running on the treadmill for I haven’t done in for a long time. Now I’m currently looking for a nice running shoes that’s on sale. My presto is not in good condition anymore and my other rubber shoes are not fit for running. I hope I’ll be able to find something that fits my budget.

Coach

I’ve been browsing Faye’s flickr account almost everyday especially when she posted super nice bags from coach. I want to buy a bag that I can use anytime. I bought a coach bag from Glo last year that I now use almost everyday to work. I bought an RL bag from Faye last year also but it’s small and I only use it when I bring a car. Now I want to buy a bigger bag and Faye’s kalakals are really nice. Here’s what I have in mind:

BDJ Planner

My planner was delivered last weekend. I actually ordered it last November pa but since I was busy, I was not able to deposit my payment right away. It's my 3rd year to order BDJ planner and I really am happy with it. This year's planner is better; the designs are nicer, and there are more coupons pa. Can't wait to use it! For those of you who are still looking for a nice gift, you may want to consider giving this one. :)

Shopping

Until now, I have not been to any bazaar and its middle of December already, and because of that I am not yet complete with my gifts to my godchildren. My sister and I plan to shop on Sunday and hopefully there is still a bazaar at the NBC tent. I hope I can find a Dansko shoes there for that’s what I plan to give to my 10yr old godson. I am also looking for a gift for my two other godchildren and I hope to score a nice blouse too. We’ll see, I really hope I’ll be able to find everything I need on Sunday.

Christmas Is Here!

Here in our part of the world, Christmas season always comes early. As early as September, malls and stores would start displaying artificial christmas trees and decorations on their storefront, as well as play Christmas carols and songs on their PA system. Other signs are bazaars sprouting out from everywhere selling anything and everything, not to mention the sale that the malls have every week. I did a little shopping already when my sis asked me to go with her to the richwell sale. The items are not as good as last year but it still way cheaper when you buy to the malls and since I’m there already, I was able to buy a few gifts for inaanaks. I’m still on the lookout for sales since I’m not yet done shopping. This is the only time that Paul doesn’t complain when I buy things. Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year! :)

Holiday Eyeglasses

I’ve been thinking of getting a stylish eyeglass for this coming holiday. My eyeglass is very plain looking and I would like to try a different one. I saw some Holiday Fun Eyeglasses online that are really cute. I saw $8 Prescription Zenni Glasses online and they even have a lot of New Arrivals to choose from! I hope to buy one before they run out of stock. Here’s what I plan to get: :)

Looking For...

Something I’m considering to buy is a new Linksys router. The one we have now is a little over a year old and we’re starting to have problems with it. Sometimes it would all of a sudden indicate limited or no connectivity, and we have to do a reset on it to get it back up and running. It would be quite a hassle especially if you’re downloading something.

They're Here!

I received Glo’s package this morning courtesy of Kathy. But Jody and I still need to meet since we need to swap bags. I saw Jody’s bag and it’s so nice that I can’t wait to see mine! Paul’s watch is kinda big and I hope it will fit well in his wrist. I still have to send Aggie’s wallet thru LBC since Kathy thought it was mine too. Hehe! Anyway, thanks Glo and Kathy! I will post pics once I have my bag. :)

Shopping

A lot of my online friends are into shopping lately. I’d love to shop too but unfortunately I don’t have extra money to spend. If only I have extra moolah, I’d like to buy Paul a Roger Dubuis watch that I saw online. He’s been complaining on his watch and I think it’s about time that we replace it. I still need to show it to him and hopefully he’ll like it.

Online Shopping

Do you know what I’m doing right now? Checking out online stores and going through their items especially the ones that are on sale. Like most guys, I don’t go out and shop that much. But now I can go and shop at my own leisurely pace from the comfort of my own home. Still I’m not an impulsive buyer. For major purchases, if I see something I like online, I try to read reviews about it and go to local shops to check it out for myself. Which kinds of defeats the purpose, but not if it’s on sale.

Christmas Gifts

Christmas shopping has started for some people and mall sale are everywhere. As for me, I just started listing down our godchildren including their age so that I’ll know what to give them. I might give educational toys for those 0-5 years old while I’m thinking of giving funny t-shirts for chidren 6-12 years old. What about you? Have you started with your Christmas shopping?

Baby Needs

When we learned that we were pregnant, Paul and I, well mostly just me, started thinking of the things to buy for our baby. And I got more excited when we learned that we’re having a girl. I’ve thought of the basic things that a baby need like crib, strollers, feeding bottles, etc. Well we won’t be buying a crib anymore since the one Lance used before is still in good condition. I’m still thinking if we will buy a new stroller since the one we have now can be used for babies 3 months and above. I was referred to a site that gives buyers a guide when buying strollers. The site even talks about different stroller styles like lightweight and umbrella strollers (which we have now), full featured, travel systems, tandem strollers, jogging strollers, all terrain strollers and carriage strollers. I like the full featured stroller since it is has several features that are good especially for newborns. The site is really nice since it has prices for each type and for the different stores that offers it. Well we haven’t decided yet if we’ll buy one. We’ll see. :)

So far, I think we have everything prepared and are just waiting for the coming of baby Hannah. I bought clothes already, blankets, cloth diapers, etc. I also had my check up this morning and the OB said my cervix is still closed but she already gave me an admission slip in case I go into labor. Please pray for my health that I may have a safe and normal delivery. Pray for baby Hannah too. Thanks! :)
