Happy BIrthday Caeylla

We went to Cavite yesterday to attend Caeylla’s 1st Birthday Party.  She is the lovely daughter of Paul’s officemate.  We first had a hard time looking for the place due to it’s small signage but thankfully we were early so we had time to look for it.
Anyway, as always, the kids had fun at the party.  It was not the usual party that we go to but nonetheless it’s fun.  The kids brought home prizes and candies and said they had fun.  Happy 1st birthday again Caeylla!

Musicians

One of my frustrations is to become a musician. I can play the keyboards but I can’t sing well, oh and I can’t play the keyboards well too, I just know how hehe! Anyway, I really pray that my kids will learn to love music and play at least one instrument. Even the schlagwerk unique hand drums is ok for me. At least it’s one of a kind and I’m sure it’s really cool. But just in case they won’t like it, I’m hoping that my daughter will learn how to play the guitar or the piano and my son the guitar or the drums. They are both showing their interest already and I’m just trying to get funds to send them to a music school. Wish me luck! :)

Typhoon Maring

Once again, a very strong typhoon hit our country and a lot of people are affected by it.  Thankfully, our area now was not affected and there was no flood in the street.  The drainage that the government worked on our area a few months back worked because if it hasn’t I’m sure we should have evacuated already because of the amount of rainfall experienced for the past few days.
Anyway, I’m really glad we surpassed this typhoon but I pity those whose houses were submerged in the flood.  I do hope this time; some government officials will use their pork barrel for the benefit of their constituents.  Some areas are still flooded and some don’t have a house to live in anymore.  L
The only good thing that the typhoon brought to us is that we were able to bond with the kids for 5 days.  We get to play together, be silly together, eat a lot together and sometimes just do nothing at all.  We were also able to rest for a few days while we monitor the weather.
Now that the typhoon is gone, we hope that government officials will do their best to assist those who were affected and for us who weren’t affected, let us also do our share in helping them by volunteering or by giving some relief goods.  There are a lot of evacuation centers asking for help and I’m sure any help we can give will be very much appreciated.

Jewelries

They say that diamonds are girls’ best friend and I can’t disagree with that. Though I can add that bags, and shoes are girls best friends too lol! Anyway, I love jewelries but I can say that I only have a few. It’s just too expensive for me and I only buy every time I have extra money. My friend told me that if I want to be practical, I can check at cheapwholesalejewelry.com where I can find very nice jewelries at affordable prices. I don’t have extra money yet, but I’m sure to visit the site once I have extra.:)

Money Matters for Kids

Last Friday, we went to Gateway to watch Smurfs and at the same time see BSP’s program for kids.   It is located at the activity center in Gateway where kids and adults can visit for free.  Both kids enjoyed looking at the coins from different countries and tracing the coins on a bond paper by using a crayon.  But most of all, they enjoyed the shopping activity.  They have this activity where they are teaching the kids to stick to their budget.  They are given a list of things to shop with budget and a basket cart to put the items they need to buy.  There is also a small calculator where they can check if they exceeded with the budget already.  Cute right? :)
Anyway, I’m just glad that BSP has this program to show kids the importance of money.  For now they just know that you need money to buy things that you need.  It’s good that at least little by little, they know that you need to budget your money and it is really important to save. :)

Happy 1st Birthday Natalia and Isabel

Last week, we attended a royal birthday party for Isabel and Natalia. Queen Kelly and King Gats invited us and my kids had so much fun. It was a nice party, and different from what we used to attend. The hosts were great and the program was simple yet entertaining. They even have a live background music with guitars and a resonatorwhile the host / teacher is telling a story. Thank you again Kelly and Gats for inviting us and Happy, happy birthday to the twins! I’m sure you’re going to be very fine ladies just like your mom. ;)

20 years

My friends and I are planning for our 20th year of friendship next year.  We’re definitely going out of town but we don’t know yet where we will go.  So many places have been suggested but of course we need to consider that we will meet everyone’s budget.  The places we’re considering are Boracay, Bohol, Palawan, but we’re choosing which one among those places are for family.  We haven’t decided yet which one be we are all asked to save money for this trip.  I can’t wait to spend time with my college friends. :)
