Holy Week, Kainan, at Ibpa..

Well, I didn’t have much activity last holy week. We went to dampa last Wednesday for lunch, last hurrah daw before magpenitensiya. And as always, sobrang happy na naman ako sa food, di siyempre mawawala ang buttered shrimp! Yummy!!! Hehehe!

Holy Thursday, my sister and I just stayed home. We fixed our closet and arranged our clothes. I kept the clothes that I can’t wear for now because I’m pregnant and I set aside the clothes that I really can’t wear anymore. Maybe I can give it to my sis-in-law for her garage sale or I can also give it to some people in our province. Those clothes still look nice and I used it once or twice only.

Good Friday, I drove to my brother’s house. Was left alone at home because my sister went to the province for the 4km Alay-Lakad. Since I can’t walk that far anymore and since they’ll go back to Manila that day also, I stayed at my brother’s house na lang and played with my pamangkins.

Black Saturday, I’m still at my brother’s house. Did not go home anymore since mas madaming food sa house ng kuya ko. hehehe! And he also asked me to scan some pics that we need to use for our get-together on april 22.

Easter Sunday, woke up at 4:30am because we’ll be going to Batangas to attend the Easter mass and to celebrate our lola’s 95th bday. Well, she’s not really our lola and I don’t know how are we related to her but since we’re a close-knit family, everyone is like a member of the family. So I drove to our house at Fort Bonifacio to pick up my sister. Convoy kami ng kuya ko then when we arrived at Fort, parked the car and transfer to my Kuya’s car then went to Batangas na. We arrived there at 8:30 and rested for awhile. The mass will start at 9:30 then lunch na at our lola’s house. It was really a very happy event. Very seldom do I meet people reaching that age. My lola (my dad’s mom) died at the age of 92 or 93 and Lola Ingga is already 95 and can still walk although with cane. We can see in her face that she’s really happy. Happy birthday Lola Ingga!!!

That’s about it! Was just happy with what happened last week. Was able to rest, read a good book (I bought a book called “What to Expect When You’re Expecting). It’s really very informative and I’m glad I bought that book. At the same time, I was able to reflect and have a quiet time with God during the Holy Week. :)

Checkup

I visited my OB again yesterday for the results of the urinalysis and my ultrasound. For my urinalysis, she said that it was only mild and that I don’t have to take medicines. I just need to increase my water intake and try to drink buco juice everyday.

For my ultrasound, she told me that the baby and I are fine. As what I said in my previous post, the cervix is closed and there’s no need to worry. She just advised me to continue with my medicines and drink milk everyday. Whew! Thank God!

Thank you to those who prayed and wished me well. Thanks mama Meeya and Dionne for the messages. Thanks also to my friends, cousins and officemates; Allan, Jon, Vangie, Gen, Jenny, Ma’am Sasa, Micholle, Kevin, Ate Beck. etc. Most of all, thanks to my husband Paul for the love and understanding! Mwah! :)

One Scary Friday Night

I had a busy week last week. I was working on my projects; the Six Sigma, ISO for ALC, etc. I was also busy preparing for our summer outing last April 1 at Kidzworld, Cavite. Bought prizes for the games, coordinate with Kidzworld, and so on. Before I went home on Friday night, I passed by the grocery to buy snacks as baon for our summer outing.

Then when I went to the bathroom for my usual routine before I go to sleep, I noticed that there was blood in the bowl right after I urinated. I got scared because it was the first time I experienced this since I got pregnant. I immediately texted my OB to inform her of what happened. She advised me not to go to the summer outing and visit her the following day. I was really scared and sad at the same time. I lifted to God our baby that he/she may be safe. I was also sad because I won’t be able to come to our summer outing in which I was the one who organized. Well God works in wondrous ways. Maybe that’s His way of telling me to rest and relax a bit.

The following day, I asked some of my officemates to drop by our house before going to our summer outing venue. I need to give them the money and the rest of the documents needed for our summer outing. They were really sad because I can’t come with them but they also wished me well and prayed that the baby and me will be fine.

I went then to Medical City to visit my OB. She examined me and asked me also what I did for the past few weeks. After that, she told me not to worry because the baby is fine and I’m ok also. She told me that my cervix is closed and the blood that came out may be because of stress or fatigue. She also told me that I’m really ok and that if I want to, I can still follow my officemates to Cavite. She also asked me to have a urinalysis to check if I have UTI. I was scheduled also for transvaginal ultrasound. This afternoon I’ll be going again to medical city to get the results and consult with my OB.

That’s it! I’m just thankful that we’re both ok and based on the kwentos of my officemates, they enjoyed the summer outing. I’ll be updating you again after my visit to my OB. Pray for me ha! Thanks! :)
