Weddings

That’s one of the events that I really love to go.  I love it when you feel the love and care of the couple who’s getting married and I feel honored that you’re invited to witness a very special event in their lives.  At the same time, it also feels good to see friends and relatives whom you haven’t seen in a long time.
My favorite part during a wedding is when the bride walks down the aisle to meet his husband to be.  There are even times that I cry especially when the bride or the groom is crying too!  Yes, that’s how emotional I am!  Actually, I think I cry in almost all the weddings I attended lol!
Anyway, about wedding preparations, of course one focus of the bride is her gown and how it will look on her.  I’m sure most brides check out different magazines or websites such as DressFirst to serve as guide on the different designs of wedding gowns and at the same time see what the latest material to be used is.
I remember the time when I was preparing for my wedding, I really have no idea what type of gown I’d like to wear.  I don’t know what style looks good on me or how long my trail should be.  Thankfully my cousin helped me and introduced me to her couturier.  At that time, I just let the couturier sketch and suggest the style that’s good on me.  If I had known back then about DressFirst, it would have been easier since there are a lot of designs to choose from, and they also have different accessories, veils, headpieces, even shoes, and whatever it is you need on your big day. Look at the pictures below which I grabbed from their site, those are just two of the styles you can choose from and they have a lot! Nice wedding dresses right? :)

It is really a very helpful site and brides today are lucky that there are sites like those that can help you with just a click of your finger.
Anyway, it’s been awhile since I last attended a wedding and I am looking forward to going to one again.  We will see who and when will it be. :)

Ouchie Back

I’ve been having some problems with me back for a couple of days now.  Yes I feel like I’m getting old already arrgghh… In my previous post I mentioned about being flat footed and now I’m complaining about having back pains.  I don’t know maybe I just need a good and regular exercise.
Anyway, a friend suggested that maybe I should get cushion and pillows for support to my aching back.  She said that she used to have that feeling but when she got support cushion for her back, the pain lessen until eventually it was gone.  I hope I’ll be able to find the cushion perfect for my back. :)

Flat Footed

Yup that’s me.  I didn’t know that I was until I visited an orthopaedic surgeon / sports medicine doctor this afternoon.  I have some very bad ache on my knees and feet for a couple of months now that I decided to have my knees get an x-ray.  This was around last week of April and the result scared me because there it said that I need to start considering degenerative joint disease for both my knees.  This really scared me because I felt like I was too young for this.  I visited one doctor and he said I need to have a therapy but still I am not convinced so I decided to visit another one which was this afternoon.  I was really glad when he told me that I really am too young to have degenerative joint disease.  He asked me to step forward and bend my knees when I do that and that’s when I learned I was flat footed.  He told me not to worry but to start using arch support with my shoes.  I still have to check how much it costs but at least it said I am ok already.  He said that I also need to invest on good running shoes so I can start running again.  So now I need to save one for that. New Business

My cousin in the US called me the other day to tell me about his new business.  He is really excited about it and preparations and launching are in full swing.  They are busy promoting it which includes giving out flyers and announcing it at social networking sites.  They said that they’re happy they found flyer printing at printingamerica.com because it has good quality and at the same time can meet their needs.  I really am happy for him and I really hope his business will succeed. :)

5 Celebrations That Deserve to be Remembered with a Portrait

There are many special occasions that should be captured on camera, however some events call for something extra special. When looking to create a series of stunning photographs that will help you to remember certain milestones in life, you should consider hiring a professional photographer. Here are 5 celebrations that deserve to be remembered with a portrait.

Weddings

Getting a portrait done on your wedding day is the perfect way to document the start of your lives together, and a great way to remember your very special day. Many couples choose to have their favourite image enlarged and framed, so they can always have a wonderful reminder of their wedding day on display in their home.

New Arrivals

Celebrating the birth of a new family member is a perfect opportunity for a family portrait. Documenting your family’s growth is very important, and there’s no better way to do this than with a portrait. While home photos are great, there’s something very special about images that have been taken by a professional. Organise a family portrait to welcome your new arrival, and you will have a timeless set of images and memories that will last forever.

Anniversaries

When you’re looking for great anniversary ideas, why not consider a romantic portrait to capture the love that you both share. Scheduling a portrait for your anniversary allows you to reconnect and spend some quality time in a fun and enjoyable setting. The photos are a reflection of your love for one another, and make a great mutual gift.

Graduations

Graduating is a huge step for your children as they get ready to forge their own path in the world. Getting a family portrait for their graduation is not only a wonderful way to preserve memories, it is also a perfect way to celebrate the years of hard work that has gone into studying and preparing for this big day. Your kids will always be able to look back on their portrait with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Birthdays

With kids growing up so quick, it almost feels like you could blink and they will already be adults. Celebrating milestone birthdays with a fun family portrait means you will always be able to look back and see every step on their journey as they grow and change. It is also a poignant visual diary of your family and their growth over the years.
No matter how much we want to remember things clearly, memories often fade. This is why it is so important to invest in quality portraits to capture the moment and ensure that these precious memories are preserved forever. The key to the perfect portrait is to find the right photographer. Luckily if you’re looking for a photographer, Brisbane has a number of professional and skilled individuals to cater for every occasion. Choosing the right photographer will ensure that you have a great portrait experience, with the result being natural, high quality photos that truly represent you and your loved ones.

Caught by the Police

We went to my uncle’s house last week to have dinner there so that my brother and his family will be able to meet my mom’s side of the family before they go back to New Zealand.  Paul and I together with the kids were riding in a car while my brother and his family together with my parents and my sis were riding another car.  Anyway, on our way there Paul was caught by the police when he tried to beat the red light in Makati.  I was really mad at him because I saw the light already and he still continued thinking that it’s ok.  Unfortunately it was in Makati and there are police there even on Sundays.  He tried to issue him a ticket and confiscate his license but we asked if we can just pay him instead since it will be too much hassle if he will get his license.  “Thankfully”, he said yes and we just paid the police and he gave back Paul’s license. :D
