Saturday 9: A Long December

1. Looking back at it now, how were your holidays and your time on New Year's Eve? ::It was so much fun. My family were together plus my parents were here too to celebrate the holidays with us.
2. Do you have any unusual collections? :: no i don't
3. If you could train a machine to do one thing for you whenever you wanted, what would you have it do? :: convert into a gadget that i want :)
4. What is one thing that makes you cry? :: i'm a cry baby. there are a lot of things that make me cry
5. What do you love to do on the weekend? :: be with my family, either spend it at home, out of town or anywhere else.
6. Do you and your family get along? :: yes very much
7. Have you ever gotten kicked out somewhere? If yes, do tell. :: nope
8. Who do you normally turn to when you need to complain about something? :: my husband, my friends or my sister
9. What is the last thing you ordered on-line? :: i think clothes for my kids

Saturday 9 : Wouldn't It Be Nice

1. What's the nicest thing a complete stranger ever did for you? :: I don't know, uhm maybe share his seat to me.
2. What one thing always speaks deeply to you, to your spirit, no matter your mood or what else is going on in your life? :: That God is listening if you just pray to him.
3. How many jobs have you held in your life? How many of those were part of your chosen career field? :: One, I'm loyal haha! And it's part of my chosen career field. Although last year, I was transferred to a different division but I'm happy with what I'm doing.
4. Of those jobs, how many did you leave voluntarily? :: N.A.
5. How did you discover Saturday 9? How long have you played? (Thank you for joining in!) :: I think from my online friends who participate here too.
6. What's the worst beverage you've ever tasted? :: Oh I don't remember
7. Is there anything in life you are "certain" about? Firm in your beliefs? Strong in your convictions? :: Yes, the power of prayer and hard work :)
8. How did you come up with the title of your blog's posts? :: With this blog, my husband suggested it. My other blog talks about our family thus the title, and my other blog was suggested by my friend when I told her the topics that I'd like to post there.
9. Would you consider yourself a good cook? :: Nope, I don't even know how to cook :D

Saturday 9 : Hard Habit To Break

1. Do you have any habits or rituals at this time of year? :: none, just the usual parties with families and friends, and shopping for christmas gifts

2. Polar bears seem to do well in the snow... How about you? Is snow just another thing you deal with when it shows up, or is it shutdown time? ...and if you're posting from a non-snowy locale, do you make trips to actually see snow? It's okay to admit it... :: i live in a tropical country and i have not visited other country with snow but i would like to see one though. hopefully soon!

3. Tell about a toy you remember from your childhood. :: my doll which i pretend is sick and i put IV on it to get well :)

4. If you could make one thing in the world absolutely free for everyone, what would it be? :: food, so that people won't go hungry especially the poor

5. Do you live close to your immediate family members? If not, how far away are they? :: yes, my sister is with us and my parents are now here with us for a vacation

6. My mom ordered a turkey dinner from a local market. it was o.k., but not very good. how was your turkey (or last holiday meal) this year? :: we don't celebrate thanksgiving here, and i'm still of the last holiday meal I had this year :D

7. In a one horse open sleigh: Have you ever been on a sleigh ride or a carriage ride? Do you even like horses? Or would you just rather travel by your own two feet? :: i rode on a carriage (those that are used for tourists :D) and it was ok. i don't like to ride horses though

8. What is your favorite Christmas song? ...and sung or played by whom? You know, the one you tend to listen for on the radio or hit 'repeat' on the player... :: i can't think of any right now, i just let the cd play continuously and enjoy the music

9. What is your least favorite Christmas song? ...and sung or played by whom? You know, the one you tend to skip on the player... :: same answer as number 8

2. What is the best thing you’ve ever won as a prize? How did you win it? :: I guess the contests I joined in school :)

4. How old were you when life changed the most for you? How did it change? :: 28, when I got married
5. Tell us about a place you that you've been that you considered to be very tranquil. :: the top of the mountains
6. Who is your favorite news anchor/reporter? Why? :: Cheche Lazaro - I love her documentaries
7. If you were to have the opportunity to name a new town or city, what would you call it? Why? :: Paul, it's my husband's name
8. What is something about which you've always wondered but have not yet found a good answer? :: is it really hot in hell?

1. In a social setting, are you more of a talker or a listener? :: both
2. Do you take compliments well? :: yeah i think so
3. Are you judgmental? :: nope, i need to know the person first before i make a judgment
4. Do you think more about the past, present or future? :: all of it but i guess more of for present and future. past makes me aware of the mistakes i've committed and the learnings i got to apply to my present life that helps me to achieve the future that i want to have
5. What do you hate? :: liars and people who look down on other people
6. Use three words to describe yourself. :: simple, kind, easy to get along with
7. Do you celebrate Halloween? Explain: :: just the trick or treat for the kids

Saturday 9: Just Like Me

1. Who in your life do you think behaves and thinks the most like you do? :: my daughter. I feel like she's me when I was a child
2. As a kid, were you ever wrongly accused (and punished, if it went that far) for something you didn't do? If so, what was it? What happened? :: nope, i had a wonderful childhood
3. What about as an adult, were you ever wrongly accused for something you didn't do?? Do you think it's worse to be accused as a child or an adult? Why/why not? :: no also. i think it's unfair to be wrongly accused regardless if you are a child or an adult
3. What’s the scariest weather situation you’ve experienced? :: last year, when typhoon ondoy hit our country and our house was greatly affected. incidentally, tomorrow is it's anniversary
4. If you could wake up tomorrow morning in another country, where would you want to be and why? :: in the US so I can spend time with my parents there before they come home here for good
5. Instead of going to work Monday, if you could spend the entire day doing something else--any one or two things that you absolutely love doing--what would you do? :: stay home so i can bond with my kids more, or take them somewhere. i just want to spend more time with them
6. What sites (other than meme sites) do you use most to help you post on your blog? :: shopping or health sites
7. Check out a post on your blog from six months ago (March 2010) and tell us what is different now about your blog and/or life? :: there's really not much difference. i just post a little less now i guess :D
8. What was the last photograph you took? :: my children
9. Which fashion trend do you believe is the most horrendous and why? :: oh no, i don't know fashion that much

1. When was the last time that you had to tell someone that you loved, that the answer was no? :: I don't remember
2. When was the last time you visited a hospital? :: last Thursday, I accompanied my colleague for his check up
3. If you were to start a club, what would the subject matter be, and what would you name it? :: i guess it's about motherhood, i'm still thinking of a good name
4. Have you ever hit someone of the opposite sex? :: nope
5. What's the first thing you notice about the preferred sex? :: i don't know, maybe the eyes
6. What really turns you on? :: a lot :D
7. What was your biggest mistake? :: lying to my husband-to-be when he was still working in another country

9. Has anyone ever said you looked like a celebrity? :: yes but that was when I was still in gradeschool :D

Saturday 9 : Love Hurts

1. Tell us about the last time that you got hurt in the arena of love. :: that was a long time ago
2. Have you ever been part of the wedding party, other than your own? :: yes, and I love it! :)
3. Let's say you find yourself in Hell after you die. Think about everyone you've known in your life. Who would be the one person that would least likely to surprise you by being in Hell with you? :: hmm... i don't know :D
4. What brings you good luck? :: prayers and hard work :)
5. Do you have a photo blog? If so, feel free to share the link with us! :: i have blogs but not really photo blog :) Here's my other blog
6. What is your biggest source of news? (Internet? Newspaper? Television? Radio? The Daily Show? Other?) :: Internet, I don't watch TV anymore; and the only time I heard news on the radio was when we had blackout recently caused by the typhoon. Good thing we have a battery operated radio. :D
7. What's the hottest you've ever been in your life? :: when i have fever? hehe!
8. If you had to choose a theme song for your blog, which would would you choose and why? :: i never thought of that :D

4. What is the funniest situation you’ve witnessed in a religious setting? :: when half of the people at the church are kneeling and the other half are not. it seems that the churchgoers just follow the ones in front of them and really don't know what to do

1. When was the last time that you felt your world got turned upside down? :: I don't remember :D
2. Should the United States do more to help its own citizens before helping people in other countries? :: I think he should know he should know how to balance helping its own citizens and the people from other countries.
3. What was something you memorized for school and still can recall? :: the school hymn
4. With what types of people do you tend to associate? ::honest, friendly, and simple
5. Besides blogging what is the last creative thing that you've done? :: i don't know hehe, i'm not really a creative person
6. In nature, what outdoor activities do you enjoy the most? :: mountain climbing

Saturday 9 : Hey Jealousy!

1. When was the last time that you got jealous? :: I really don't remember :D
2. At what point do you finally decide it's time to move forward with your life (like, major changes)? How do you know? What do you do? :: with marriage, i know i can't live without him. in career, if i'm getting bored and feel like i'm not learning anymore.
3. When is it time to just let it ('it' can be whatever you choose) go? How do you know? What do you do? :: if you're not happy anymore. you'll just feel it so there's really nothing else to do but just let it go
4. How many times must someone push your buttons before you've just had enough? Why? :: It depends on how sensitive the situation is. It could be just one push but I'm also very patient with things but if i feel that my patience is being abused, then that's the time.
5. If I S/O were to cheat on you, could you ever see yourself giving them a second chance? Or a third? :: I'll give him a second chance but a third, nope that won't happen.
6. What was the last thing that someone did that you were very grateful for? :: my sister for always being there especially when we're out of cash. :D
7. How much time do you spend online in a given weekday? What about the weekends? ::weekdays, 8 -12 hours a day. weekends, not sure maybe 6-8 hours.
8. How many online journals/blogs do you read regularly? What are some of your favorites and why? :: i read a lot of blogs especially blogs of my friends because i seldom talk to them and i'd like to be updated on how they are doing.
9. What was the last major purchase that you made? ::major? does food for the week counts? :D

1. What’s the furthest trip you’ve taken by automobile? :: if i'm the one driving, i think batangas, but if i'm just a passenger, that would be baguio.

Saturday 9: Wedding Bell Blues

1. If you have been or are married, tell us about your wedding. If you are not, tell us how would you want it to be. :: it was great. there were some minor glitches but all in all everyone had a good time :)

2. What age would you encourage your children to get married? :: around 25 i guess, or as soon as they are matured enough and can take care of themselves

3. Who got married at the last wedding that you attended? :: my gradeschool friends VJ and Rica

4. Do you enjoy weddings and receptions? :: yes

5. Have you cried at a wedding? :: almost always

6. Would you prefer a lavish event or a intimate ceremony? :: intimate ceremony with my close friends and families

7. Have you ever been in some one’s wedding party? If yes, do tell. :: yes, like the last wedding i attended. it was nice and you can really see the love between the couple. it was also fun when they had their first dance at the reception.

8. Does a wedding make you happy and sentimental or grouchy and skeptical? :: happy and sentimental

9. Why do you think our divorce rate is so high? :: still immature or there's lack of communication
