Glad To Know You Have One

The mail just came in today. Along with the usual bills came letters from a local home insurance company. From the looks of it, the new insurance deals keep on getting better and better. It’s almost like they’re saying “I’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse”. Insurance premiums are relatively low but with a wide coverage. Like I said before, insurance policies are things you buy, hope not to use, but will be glad to know you have one.

Weigh In

On Friday, people from our Human Resources group are going to check the weight of the employees who were included in the 120 days wellness program. I am part of the program but I think I haven’t lost weight yet that I’m thinking of taking alli starting tomorrow hoping that it might have an effect before the weekend. Too bad, part of the rule is for contestants to lose weight naturally without taking any medication. But if in case, I am not included in the program, I’m sure I’ll be taking those diet pills. I really, really need to lose weight!

Pimples

I have a big one on my right cheek and Paul has 3 on his face, one on the forehead and 2 on the cheeks. He was telling me that his pimples hurt and are sometimes itchy that I asked him if he needs acne treatment. He said he can still handle it and he just needs to clean his face everyday. As of today, my pimple is gone already while his are starting to wear off. I hope we won’t have pimple breakout again!

Trip To Pampanga

Last week, we went to visit Paul’s uncle in Pampanga. We went there with Patrick and Family and we just met at the gas station in NLEX. I told Paul I’d like to drive on the way to Pampanga since I haven’t driven at NLEX. Hehe! All I can say is wow! I hope SLEX will be like that since we often travel going to Batangas. Road trip will be much fun if the road condition at SLEX is like that of NLEX, hopefully soon!

Anyway, Paul was glad upon seeing his uncle since he was still in college the last time he saw him. I on the other hand, saw him 4 years ago when we went to Tarlac with my FIL, and Paul was in Taiwan then. The kids naman had fun since they get to see other children. Lance played with his cousins outside the house while Hannah had fun walking.

We left Pampanga by 4pm and Paul was the one who drove since the kids were tired from playing. I’m glad I wasn’t the one driving for when we got to balintawak, traffic was bad! Hehe! Can’t remember what time we got home but all of us were tired and immediately went to sleep and rest. :)

Nanny Diaries

There are only a few people who are fortunate to have trusting and loyal nannies. And I’m glad I’m one of them. My cousin is one of the examples of those who are unfortunate to find a good nanny. Before, she got someone who stole from her and left. Another is that she got someone who just wants to go to the city that upon arriving will just spend a day or two in their house then will leave her again. And she also had a nanny who’s a liar and criticizes the work of the other nanny where in fact, she’s the one who doesn’t work well. But among all of these, she’s still fortunate that none of these nannies hurt her kids. There are some mommies who were shocked to know that the nanny they hired to take care of their kids was the ones who hurt them. That’s why some mommies like to install a video surveillance equipment so that they would know if the nannies they hire are doing their job. I’m sure this is a good tool if you want to monitor your household helpers. :)

After 3 Weeks

I was able to go to the gym again last night. I just ran on the treadmill and spent 30 minutes on the elliptical. I did not use other equipments yet because I don’t want to force my body to doing lots of workout. I’ll do that on the coming weeks. Side kwento, how come other people are so annoying? There was this old woman who was using the treadmill that I’m about to use. My schedule was 6pm so when it was time already, I approached the lady and told her that her time is up. She glared at me and asked me for my proof, as if I’m stealing the equipment from her. So I showed her my slip and that’s the only time she left and you can see in her that she’s mad. Hello!! Doesn’t she understand the concept of scheduling? Anyway, she transferred to another machine that we’re scheduled at 6:30. When it’s 6:30 already, my colleague asked one of the trainers to approach the same old woman since she hasn’t left the machine yet even if it’s time already. She again demanded for the slip as if my colleague is lying. After the trainer showed her the slip, she left glaring again. Haayyy…kainis talaga! I hope we won’t encounter her again when we go to the gym next time.

Long Weekend.

We will again enjoy long weekend because our President declared Monday as holiday. I was glad upon hearing it for Monday will be my rest day since we have plans already for this weekend. Tomorrow we will bring Lance to the dentist and also meet a supplier for their birthday party. On Sunday, my cousins will drop by our house before lunch to pick up something then in the afternoon, we will attend a birthday party. That leaves me with Monday as rest day. Here in the office, I just received an email from our Logistics group telling us that they will use the long weekend to clean up the entire office using a central vacuum system. I’m sure our office will be spic and span when we go back to work on Tuesday. I’m glad it’s Friday! Enjoy the weekend everyone! :)

Active Fun! Active Fun!

Active Fun at SM Annex North Edsa is now open and that's where we went yesterday morning. Together with some mommy bloggers (Mai, Jody, Joy and Thea), we brought our kids to enjoy active fun's newest branch. We arrived at 10am and Lance wanted to go inside as soon as he saw the place. He got more excited when he saw the giant slide and the basketball area. Hannah wanted to explore naman the keyboard that lights up and plays a note when you step on it.

If you are looking for a place to bring your kids to have some activities or exercise instead of just playing the computer, then this is the place to be! They have, as mentioned, a giant slide, a basketball ring, suspension bridges and tunnels and a whole lot more! Babies like Hannah's age can play at the area where they can go swimming in the pools of balls.

They also have party packages if you want your children to celebrate their birthday there. Their package consists of invitation, nametags, loot bags, kiddie meals, ice cream, cake, banner and unlimited play and this is just the basic. Their packages varies depending on the number of children. If you like to book a party or have other inquiries, you may contact them at 332-3929 or 215-9891.

And here are the mommy bloggers together with Active Fun's manager Apple Morales who was so nice she even gave us free snacks while the kids are playing and loot for the kids when they're done! :)
