yesterday afternoon filipinos were excited as it was the very much awaited rematch of manny pacquiao with erik morales. they were more concerned of the match than of a possible coup.
the match wasnt being aired here in taiwan so my only source of information would be the internet. although toni would be able to watch it, the broadcast would be delayed. what i did was i had a conference in yahoo with some friends from a forum, because one of them was on the phone with his friend who was watching it through pay per view. puro pasahan lang ng balita hehehe. aside from that, i was browsing espn's website where they had a round for round account of the match kya reload lang ako ng reload. i remember when i was a kid, kung may magandang boxing match, pinapakinggan ng lolo ko yung results sa transistor radio. ako naman ngayon sa internet nakikibalita. high tech na talaga ngayon!
anyway it said at espn that it was morales who was dominating the first few rounds so it even made the match more exciting. buti na lang nakabawi si pacquiao! TKO at the 10th round! as soon as i learned about it, i immediately called toni to tell her the news. at that time, the match as aired by ABS hasnt even started kya she already knew the result even before she saw the 1st punch being thrown.
after the fight, i was also able to chat with toni's cousin. he said that everyone in the family was jumping and screaming althroughout the match. too bad i didnt get to watch it.
