Happy and Worried

Paul arrived last Wednesday from Taiwan which made all of us happy. Lance will now have a daddy to take care of him, I will have a husband (at last!! Hehe!) and Lance’s nanny will have an alternate in taking care of Lance and she on the other hand can do other household chores.

Paul will be staying for good until he finds a new job. And that’s what makes us worry. Paul is earning much more than I do. What I earn is just a small percentage of his salary (hehe! Poor me!) What happened in Taiwan is that the Labor office there did not grant him an extension to his work permit even if his contract is until 2010. His work permit is valid only until last week, May 31 to be exact and he found out about it just a week before the 31st. So he has to go and pack his things. The company just gave him a few months salary as separation pay.

Good thing though, some clients (of his previous employer) expressed interest on hiring him and there are friends who knows some companies in need of engineers. So we’re hoping and praying that one of them will get him. We trust in God’s love and mercy and we know that He will not forsake us. For the mean time, while waiting for a job, Paul is enjoying being a stay-at-home-dad.

What's important is that you guys are all together now :) Lance must be really excited to see his daddy.
