Due to the long commute I would do every day starting next week, most likely than not, my sleeping hours would be cut down, and I’d be falling asleep on the trip. Or I may have tired eyes at the end of the day. I might have to get myself some sunglasses native-brand most probably, to protect my eyes from glare and other sources of bright light to not stress my eyes.
Long Weekend
It's like an extended weekend for both kids as they don't have classes today. Classes are suspended for the big boy due to the heavy rains and strong winds last night and early today, while the little girl had a scheduled activity last Saturday in school so the school gave them some time off today to rest. They're just watching TV right now but I'm sure it's going to be a riot later on when they get bored.
Bed Weather
It was really hard to wake up in the morning the last couple of days because of the weather as it was very ideal in just snuggling up in bed. Perfect bed weather. I wish it would be like that during the evenings as well. It would be wonderful to snuggle up with a loved one or reading your favorite book in front of electric fireplaces That would be absolutely heavenly.
New Beginning
By this time next week, I'd be reporting to my new work. The new workplace is quite a ways from our house so good luck to me in waking up extra early every morning. Hope everything works out great!
Morning Rant
I take the shuttle everyday from house to office and
back. The shuttle terminal going to the
office is just walking distance to our house so it’s very convenient. But lately, the drivers from that terminal no
longer unload passengers to PBCom. They
let all passengers go down Philam so they can go back right away. Philam is along Paseo de Roxas so for me who
works at RCBC which is at the corner of Ayala and Buendia, it would mean I will
walk two blocks or more. I really would
like to complain already because they are cutting their trip just to avoid
traffic. So imagine if it’s raining and
I need to walk far. That’s what happened
again today. The driver’s excuse is that
the police will arrest them but they cannot explain really as to why. I’m really thinking of complaining them
already; I just need to know where and to whom I should complain. Hayz…
Easy Peasy
We’re thinking about adding some decorations here in the house. Among the things we’re considering are those easy care bamboo plants here. It’s a small and simple décor that you can put in either a center- or corner-table or a desk anywhere in the house. Plus we can also use these to teach the kids responsibility. We can have them water the plants as needed to instil in them a sense of responsibility. I do hope that works out.
Meet Up With College Friends
I met my college friends last Sunday after
not seeing them for a long time. It was
so long ago that I don’t remember the last time we met. We decided to meet because one of our friends
is giving birth next week and another one came home from Saudi and is leaving
within the month.
We met at the Verdana clubhouse in Laguna
and just had fun talking and sharing stories.
I really miss their company and I’m really glad I was able to spend an
afternoon with them. I took Hannah with
me because my friend likes to see her and I know she’ll meet other kids too. And true enough she had a great time playing
with the kids.
It was one lovely afternoon and before I
knew it, it’s time to go. Hannah was so
tired and happy that she fell asleep in the car on our way home. Here’s one of our pictures during the meet
up. Our family is growing!
Tooltime
It’s a good thing my shift starts at night so I have some time to get things done at home like tinkering with stuff. One of the things I need to check is the nightlight in our room. It’s essentially a small lampshade but with one of the three screw and nut set missing. What I plan to do is get a replacement screw and nut of the same size plus get a flat washer to go between the screw and the lampshade so the screw itself wouldn’t be in contact with the shade.
