Update on Lance
Last Saturday, we went to lance’s pedia for his well baby check-up and for another round of immunization. He now weighs 7.7kg and is 66cm in length. Last month, he was 6.5kg and 61cms. His pedia said na medyo mabilis daw lumaki yung anak ko. She then asked me kung how often ko ba feed si Lance and I told her na Lance drinks 3oz of milk every three hrs and between those feedings he drinks water. And that his water intake is the same as his milk intake. She then asked me kung may lahi daw kami ng obesity, sabi ko wala naman both sides. Tapos kung may lahi daw kami ng asthma, and told her na meron, my FIL has asthma and now yung mom ko meron na din. So she said na di muna niya advise na magsolid food si Lance coz it might trigger asthma. She said na sa sixth month na lang ni Lance mag start ng solid food. Sabi ko ok lang with me kesa naman sa magka-asthma pa anak ko. Sana nga di dumating yung time na yon! Galing-galing! As in parang nagulat lang siya, nag make face ng konti then nung remove na ni doc, tawa na siya ulit! Kakatuwa! Siguro daw by 8th month medyo hihina na siya kumain or baka pumayat since mag start na siya mag-crawl at tsaka kung ano ano pang activities to develop his motor skills. Ask ko din si doc kung ok lang ba yung milk intake ni Lance and sabi naman niya ok lang yon basta feed on demand dapat. And since ganon naman kami sa kanya kaya ok lang. She also asked kung musta naman yung poop ni Lance and yung sched ng poop niya, so I told her how often and same lang naman yung smell and itsura ng poop niya (hehe!) so ok lang daw. After that, sched niya ulit kami next for another shot, rotarix naman and oral naman yung pagtake non so ok lang. We went home na after that. Sa house naman, nakatulog si Lance and paggising niya, dinapa namin siya ulit and ayun naglaro na. :)
Trying to reach his toys while on tummy
Thought he was trying to read his book
Looks like he went against it and decided to eat it instead
Trying to drink water from his bottle
Look mommy I can hold my bottle
Playing with his rattle

Budgeting Plans for 2007

I’ve come across aggie’s post about saving / budgeting. At the same time, I read also toni’s post about the same topic. And I decided to make a post about it too. I really need a well planned budget starting this year. As I’ve mentioned in my previous post, my brother’s family left for New Zealand last week. That leaves me and my sister sharing for the expenses, and since my sister has work and is at home lang during night time, that leaves me paying most of the expenses (since I have my yaya, Lance and my aunt).
While thinking about the steps that I need to do to save, I realized that I need to change my attitude first. You see, I’ve been hooked to using credit cards. This is because I know I’ll be having money from my salary, in effect using the money that I don’t have yet and worse, not paying the credit card company on time due to some reasons like I’ve already spent the money that should be used for paying my credit card or there’s more important or urgent items that should be bought or paid for. In the end, I was not able to pay my credit card and it earned interest pa. Haayy…. Kaya starting this month, I promised myself not to use my credit cards anymore. I already cut them into pieces so that I really won’t be tempted to use them na. I just have one credit card left in case of emergency (and I’m really hopeful that I won’t be using it).
Next, I have a notebook where I put all my expenses so that I know where our money goes. I also wrote there our payables per month. Though I think I need to transfer it to a worksheet for better monitoring. I’ve also put an alarm to my phone on all our payables one week ahead before the due date so that I won’t miss payment schedules.
I also bring food dito sa office as baon for lunch para I won’t buy food outside anymore. And since I need to lose weight, I don’t eat dinner also kaya na-extend pa longer yung groceries namin at the same time, I’ll lose weight (sana! Hehe!)
Ano pa ba, I promised myself not to withdraw money from my savings account that our accounting department deducts automatically before giving our salary. And last and simplest of all, I have a piggy bank where I put all 10 peso coins that I have in my wallet.
I do hope that with all these steps, I’ll be able to save money and at the same time be debt free. Wish me luck guys!

It’s been a week since my brother’s family left to migrate to New Zealand. Kakapanibago sa house, mas quiet na whenever I go home since Lance is the only child left at home whereas before there were four of them. We’re still cleaning and arranging the house and the stuff they left. Last night, we just finished packing two boxes to be sent to them through cargo. Pero I’m sure they’ll do well sa New Zealand. Hope to see them in 3 years time (kasi uuwi daw sila) or hopefully when Lance is a little older na, we can visit them there (sana soon!!!).
Kuya, thanks for everything and take care always! Good luck!
Ate Beck, my one and only sis-in-law, thanks for everything you taught me. I will surely miss our endless tawanan and chikahan to the max!
Aldus, I’ll miss those times we play wrestling sa PS2. Always be a good boy and study hard. Help mama beck in taking care of your siblings ha! Hinay-hinay lang sa girls! :)
Margo, my inaanak! Wala na ko kasama magpa-car wash! Hehe! I’ll miss your taray comments and your hugs. Study hard and hinay-hinay sa pagkain. :)
Ethan, I’ll miss your funny antics, your smiles and all your pa-cute gestures. I’ll miss those times when I wake up in the morning and there you were knocking at our door to check on Lance. Sayang, you and Lance could have grown up together. Be a good boy ha!
I know you’ll all do great there. Don’t forget to pray to God for guidance! We surely miss all of you! Take care always! God bless! Love you all!

I was on leave for the past few days kaya eto now lang ulit nakapag-blog.
As I’ve mentioned in my previous post, Paul was not able to come home for the Holidays. Sayang nga kasi first Christmas ni Lance. We just went to mass then went home na ulit after the mass. Konting picture taking then open na ng gifts. After opening the gifts tulog na kami ulit. Yung mga pamangkin ko went to Tagaytay with their lolo and lola kaya konti lang din kaming naiwan sa bahay.
Dec. 25, pumunta naman kami sa house ng brother ni Paul until lunch time then went naman to my uncle’s house ng dinner. Dec. 26, we had our family Christmas party kaya alis na naman.
Dec. 27, we went naman to gateway for lance’s pictorial at blow up babies. Medyo mahirap din palang mang aliw ng baby, buti nasa mood ang anak ko kaya we had good shots naman na nakuha. We went to the office then to get some of my stuff kaya nakita din siya ng mga officemates ko.
New Year naman, we went to mass lang ng Dec. 31 then went to my sis in law’s house. Don kami naki new year sa kanila, walking distance lang from our house. Eto lang yata yung new year na di ako nakakita ng fireworks. I was inside the room kasi watching over Lance.
2006 was a great year for me, had my own share of ups and downs but all in all it was a great year. And the most important blessing that I had was of course Lance, our little bundle of joy! Happy New Year everyone! Welcome 2007!!!
