The Journey Continues...

I remember during our company’s business planning, our IT presented their proposed products for this year. It includes speech recognition, video conference, and other software such as Microsoft office, virus scan, scanning software and other products like laptops, etc. I don’t know which among those products are selling like hotcakes but the sales from IT group are better compared to previous years. I hope this will continue so that we will all be happy come December. J

Last Thursday, I was tasked by our President to visit one of the resorts in Batangas to see if we can have our summer outing there. We were hoping to find a place similar to those who had an Orlando vacation so that the employees will enjoy. So off I went together with 3 of my officemates. Our President is kind enough to let us use his Fortuner so that we will be comfortable during the trip. We didn’t like the place he suggested so we went to visit other resorts. We found one that we like and we think the employees will love it but the person we talked to said we have to coordinate with the Manila office for the reservations. Last Friday, we called the resort but unfortunately they are fully booked until June. The committee will have a meeting this afternoon to discuss more venues and set a schedule for ocular again. We are targeting to have the outing by next month so we only have a few weeks to work on. I hope we will be able to find a good place.

I am busy at work now. Some of my proposed projects have been approved by our President and he added more not to mention I have ongoing projects that my hands are really full right now. Some projects need a lot of work and are due by next month so I really have to plan wisely on how to use my time. Plus I don’t want to spend over time at work especially on weekends because I want it to spend with my family. Wish me luck!

My sister will be renewing her car insurance this month. I think she will stick to her insurance provider since it gives good service and cheap car insurance. She was really happy with their services especially when we were hit by Ondoy. The insurance company acted right away and she was able to claim for the expenses she incurred in repairing the car.

… is to stay at home and see my kids grow but at the same time help my husband in providing our needs. I even search for the most successful home based business and see if I can do what they did and learn from their experiences. Right now, I’m too far from it and I have to be contented with my job. I have tons of projects going on and it will give me fulfillment when I accomplish them. But I won’t forget my dream and really hope that I’ll be able to achieve it. I know in due time and with God’s blessings, everything will fall into its proper place. :)

Have you ever met someone who underwent treatment of hemorrhoids? I know of one officemate that was confined because of this. He got well after 3 days of confinement. I believe one of the causes of having hemorrhoids is when there’s an increased strain in bowel movements due to constipation or diarrhea. Most pregnant women are prone to this because there’s pressure from the fetus on the abdomen. I’m just glad that for my previous pregnancies, I have not experienced having hemorrhoids. I may be constipated from time to time, but it doesn’t lead to something like hemorrhoids.

As I was searching on colon cleansing pill that my niece needs for her final report, I heard a loud cry coming from Lance in the other room. At first I thought Lance was hurt again because Hannah hit him. She always does that whenever she wants to that Lance sometimes doesn’t want to play with her anymore. Anyhow, I went to the room and asked what happened. Paul said that Lance was playing with his blocks and trying to build a tower but whenever it’s high already, here comes Hannah pulling one of the blocks causing everything to fall down. So when Lance lost his patience already, he cried. As they grow, I observed that they have this love-hate relationship. Both of them enjoy playing with each other and you can see that they love each other but there are times that both resent one another. Like what I mentioned, Hannah sometimes hits her Kuya when he doesn’t want to play anymore. And sometimes, Lance pushes Hannah when he doesn’t want her to be near him that Hannah sometimes gets hurt. I love watching them grow together and I do hope they will continue caring for one another as they grow older.

I had a busy week last week that I was not able to update this blog. It’s really true that when it rains, it pours! I had a meeting with our President last week and he approved of the project I proposed and at the same time added some more projects that I really need to have a proper time management to be able to accomplish all of them. Not only that, I was able to gather more details on my other ongoing projects that I need to be on top of everything. I do hope these loads of projects could be one of the best fat burning exercises that I can use so that not only will I be able to finish them but lose weight in doing so. Yup I went back to the gym last week I sure did miss it. I had fun during the belly dancing class every Tuesdays and they have a new Dance Aero instructor on Wednesdays. I also enjoyed doing the floor exercises and running on the treadmill for I haven’t done in for a long time. Now I’m currently looking for a nice running shoes that’s on sale. My presto is not in good condition anymore and my other rubber shoes are not fit for running. I hope I’ll be able to find something that fits my budget.

Yesterday, Paul and I met with my HS friends for we need to visit my friend’s wedding couturier because she needs to get my measurement. We are part of her entourage and they are starting to make the gowns already. I was telling Marris (the other secondary sponsor), that I need to look for the top fat burners so that I’ll be slim when the wedding day comes. I am not like her who lives a very active lifestyle thus making her fit and slim. I still have a few months to go and hopefully, I’ll lose weight by July. :)

I’m currently setting up a new home here in the net. I just had it registered and now I’m in the process of setting it up, finding a theme and putting contents into it. I’m also on the lookout for the best seo software so that I’ll be able to optimize my new home faster and will be linked to different sites to gain popularity. I’m almost done setting it up and will let you know once it’s ready. :)

We went to the expo kid today for I promised the little boy that I will bring him there. Both Hannah and Lance had fun inside for most of the stuff is really for them. There are plenty of toys, musical instruments; there’s a booth where they do story-telling, almost all sorts of schools are there as well and there are booths for mommies too. There’s also a booth that sells different herbal products. From shampoo, soap, insect repellants and a lot more. I wasn’t able to see though if they have products like acne body wash for Hannah was pulling me away from the booth because she wants to go somewhere else. We all had a great time at expo kids and now, I need to review all the brochures that were given to me to see if there are products or schools that will suit our taste (and budget) that we think the kids will like.

Yesterday, our general assembly was quite longer than usual for we have other special announcements. First is that, HR presented some info for the coming elections. They showed slides of sample ballots and also on how to vote especially for the first timers. Then the logistics also presented something about 5S. They also awarded the department who got the highest score during our clean up day. When the winner was announced, everybody’s complaining for they don’t believe them hehe! But logistics showed before and after pictures of their work area and yes they indeed did their part. Some pictures showed them scrubbing their tables and floors. They said they perspired during the cleanup day that it served as a natural fat burner for them. Because of the results of the cleanup day, the logistics department decided to continue the contest until such time that all employees will make it a habit to clean their work area everyday. :)

My friends and I were talking in twitter this morning and all wants a vacation this summer. A friend will be going to the US with her family and is so excited because her SIL prepared an itinerary for them with all expense paid. They also want to include an Outer Banks vacation though I’m not sure if her SIL was able to include it. Another friend will be spending the Holy Week at the beach and a few more are still looking for places on where to spend their vacation. As for me, our family will be going to our house in Batangas on April and we’re hoping to hit the beach since we’re there already.

Some of the employees here are thinking of moving on and apply to other companies. They feel that it’s time to be more serious with their careers and find a company that will put them to a higher level. I really can’t blame them if they want to move out for I can see how hard they work but are not appreciated by the management for they favor a certain employee. I hope they find what they are looking for and I also hope that the management will change their style for everybody’s benefit.

Again another long overdue post. We attended Christian’s birthday party last December. This is one Jollibee party Lance remembers. He had a great time here and even showed down with Jollibee when the mascot was dancing nobody. He keeps on telling everybody that “Lance and Jollibee dance nobody at Christian’s birthday party”. Hehe! Hannah had a great time too, and was shouting when she saw the mascots. Happy birthday Christian and thanks to mommy Norie for inviting us. :)

I have so many rants this week. Yesterday I was ranting about work and this morning, I was ranting about the vacant lot beside our house. We’ve been complaining that there are so many mosquitoes in our house lately. My yayas said that it’s because of the vacant lot beside our house. There are so many trees and plants that it’s as if you’re in a jungle (I hope there’s no snake there). Some branches of the trees even cross our fence na. We don’t know who the owner of the lot so we asked our neighbor if they know who the owner is. One of the neighbors said that the caretaker is on the other street so I went there this morning. The lady asked what our concern is so I explained it to her and after that she said that they don’t have the contact number anymore since it got washed out by Ondoy. When she said that, I asked her in what way can we get in touch with the owner because she really needs to do something with the lot. Then I told her that if not, I have no choice but to report it to the proper authorities (maybe the barangay) and maybe they’ll help me with my concern. She then said that she has a friend who lives within the village who knows the owner too and she’ll ask her for the number. I told her I’ll get back to her today or tomorrow for the number. After that I said goodbye and left.

It’s really annoying because when I go home, kids have bites on different parts of their bodies and that the repellant doesn’t seem to work anymore. Everybody knows that mosquitoes tend to bring dangerous viruses so I really want t the lot to be cleared. It used to be just a vacant lot with nothing on it so mosquitoes are not as rampant as it is now. I really hope the owner will do something about it coz if not, I won’t stop until I get the results I want.
