baby boom

we have newly born babies in the family and here they are:

<a href=

Meet Ethan James D. Garcia, son of my brother Eric and sis-in-law Beck. Born on May 16, 2005. Ethan is fond of talking to people. Whenever I visit him, I always see a smile on his face and whenever we don't talk to him, he makes sounds to make people notice him. Papansin ba! hehehe! Super cute ethan! He looks like his Kuya Aldus.

This one naman is Peter. Peter Alain B. Morales, son of my cousin Sheila and her husband Jay. He was born on April 23, 2005. Super cute baby din. Sayang I don't get to see him often because they live in Fairview.

rhys2

Rhys Anthony Tadeo, son of Paul's sister Dimples (sis-in-law ko! hehehe!) He was born naman on May 14, 2005, two days ahead of Ethan. Gwapong baby din and like what my FIL said, mestizo! Super takaw din daw tong si Rhys.

Puro boys new born babies namin no! This last pic are the grown up kids (meron ba non! hehehe!) Taken during ethan's baptism.

Our 2nd Month - God's gift

God works in wonders. During our first month of marriage, Paul and I were really sad because we were not able to spend it together. We just knew in our hearts how happy we are to have found each other but still there's sadness because we were not able to spend the day with each other. Now on our second month, it's different. We may not spend it together today but God gave us a better gift. I got a visa to Taiwan!!!
I applied for a visa last monday and I was told that they will release the passports today. This afternoon, I went to Teco to get my passport. I was nervous because I was hoping that they'll grant me a visa. What scared me more is that I was not able to pass Paul's contract when I submitted the documents last Monday. Paul's contract can serve as supporting document. And so, I waited until it's my turn to get my passport and I was really happy because when I got to the counter, there it was, pasted in my passport was my visa. I immediately texted Paul to tell him of the good news.
After receiving my passport, I went straight to PAL to get my ticket. This is God's second gift to us. My dad awarded me his free mileage. I can go to Taiwan for free! Is that good news or what? When it was my turn at the counter, the lady issued me a ticket and just charged me for the taxes then that's it. I have my ticket na. I'm bound to leave for Taiwan on the 29th. I plan to leave on the 28th but it's fully booked. The lady told me to call every now and then to check if they can accommodate me. I really hope they can. Sayang din ang isang araw!
That's my good news! God's 2 great gifts on our 2nd month: my visa and my free airfare. Paul and I may not spend the day together on our 2nd month but God gave us wonderful gifts. Paul and I will see each other again!

June Couples EB @ Brothers Burger

We had our 3rd EB at Brothers Burger at Rockwell last July 22. Favorite hang out ng June couples ang Rockwell. 1st was at Starbucks, 2nd was at Good Earth Roast, and 3rd was at Brothers nga. Michelle, bat nga ba? hehehe! This time around our EB was more relaxed coz we're all married na. The first 2 EBs were fun and tensed (although wala ako nung 2nd EB) coz wedding preps yung topic and mga complains sa h2bs pag di nila maintindihan yung concerns ng mga brides. This time our topic was more on what happened on our wedding day, how it feels like being married, etc. Different funny stories were shared, from Mina's beefsteak to Michelle's visit to the market, etc. Iba-ibang kwento talaga! Sometimes I can't help but feel envious coz I haven't shared much time with Paul. I told them nga, they'll know Paul lang thru my kwentos and pictures. Haayy...
Anyway, back to our EB. There were 6 pairs that made it to our EB. I won't count myself since ako lang naman ulit yung nakapunta. Sayang others were not able to come. Pero we sure had fun during our EB. I'm really grateful coz we had bonding moments such as these. We've found new friends and we share different stories and concerns. Kakatuwa talaga!
Thanks michelle for organizing this. Hope to see you guys again soon! Sana next time, Paul can come na with me sa EB. Here are some pics during the EB:

paul's 1st post

today is our 23rd month officially as a couple. it was 23 months ago when we were having a holiday in singapore and thats when she said yes. yahooooooooo! the last 23 months have been filled with wonderful memories. well ok there were also not so wonderful memories and then some you'd rather not remember. but hey, thats normal for couples right? but the thing is we're still together, and thats what counts. and we're also married now. wala nang bawian 'to hehehe!

its also time to look forward. look forward to the life we'll have as husband and wife, start a family, raise kids, worry about the budget, tuition of the kids, bringing them up right, ensuring the kids have a good future, and grow old together. wow! sounds like a lot of hard work. well it would be. but we'll be doing it together.

speaking of being together, i am sooooooooo looking forward to that. you see, i've been working in taiwan for almost a year now. thats why i wasnt really able to help her out on the wedding preps. i wish i was there to give her a hand. after all, its not just her wedding, its our wedding. but i'm so proud of her because she was able to do it all by herself. superwoman talaga! umuwi lang ako a week before the wedding and we still had a lot of things to settle. buti na lang na settle nga namin hehehe. 3 weeks pa ako nag stay after the wedding then i had to go back to taiwan na. para ngang umuwi lang ako for the wedding and honeymoon. *bitin pa nga yung honeymoon eh hehehe*

ok here are just some of the hard parts of not being together physically. we cant really take care of each other when one of us is sick. like a while ago i was just talking to toni on the phone and she wasnt feeling very well. i feel helpless kasi wala naman talaga akong magawa being a thousand miles away from her. another would be phone bills. aysus! ang taas ng bills namin! and of course yung time together. but thats the sacrifice we both have to take. sana na lang we would be together na ulit soon. i miss you so much honey! i love you more than you know!

Learning Chinese Mandarin

Ni zao! Ni hao ma? Henhao. Xiexie!

I’m currently studying Chinese mandarin and I had my first class last Saturday. I’m a beginner kaya basic mandarin lang. Learning mandarin is fun but difficult. Chinese is a tone language and they have four basic tones, which are indicated by tone graphs. Sometimes it’s difficult coz they have so many words that can be pronounced in different ways depending on how you’ll use it and the pronunciation is not the same as how we do it in English. The teacher asked us to translate and read 14 is 14 and 40 is 40. We also translated 14 is not 14 and 40 is not 40 and it was really a tongue twister. But promise, I had fun on my three-hour lesson last sat and I’m looking forward to my next session.
So far here are some of the words I’ve learned:

ni = You
wo = I
ta = she, her, he, him
tamen = they, them
women = we, us
dou = all
baba = father
hao = well
hen = very
xiexie = thanks
zaijian = goodbye
laoshi = teacher
xuesheng = student

My teacher also taught me Chinese numbers and how they count in Chinese. I also learned a lot of other words. I hope that when my lessons are over, I can speak and understand mandarin na.

Btw, thanks to paul for sponsoring my lessons. Bait ng asawa ko! hehehe! Xiexie honey! mwah!
