Weekly Round Up

I think this is the first time I joined the round up. :) Join us!
For the week of September 8 to 14

Monday – Took a half day leave from work for my check up. Went to mass for Mama Mary’s bday. I blogged about it here.

Tuesday – Paul went to Pampanga for work. I went to work. After work, I joined in the everyday walk at UP with my officemates.

Wednesday – Went to work again. I was robbed on my way home. Kwento here.

Thursday – went to work again. Went to the bank to ask for replacement of my ATM.

Friday – went on half day leave again to withdraw money from the bank. No more money since my wallet was stolen plus I don’t have my atm yet kaya and I need money. J Paul went back from Pampanga. :)

Saturday – went to the hospital for my ultrasound. My EDD has moved again from Sept 29 to Oct 5. Separate kwento about this in my next post. Will have my check up pa tomorrow since my OB did not have clinic yesterday because she has fever.

Sunday – woke up early to hear the 7:30am mass then just stayed home lang. Paul and I were suppose to go to Makati since glorietta is on sale but did not push through anymore. We’d rather stay home, rest and bond with Lance. :)

Coffee Break ver. 1.34

From Jan's coffee break:

One thing I love most about Christmas is the atmosphere of the people. It’s as if they don’t have problems and all are in good mood. I also love the christmas lights and the displays on the buildings. Of course who wouldn't love bonuses that can be used for christmas shopping. But most of all, I love the get-together of families celebrating the birth of our saviour. :)

Nadukutan ako last night :(

Hayy.. first time nangyari sa kin to and kakatrauma din pala. I was on my way home last night when it happened. I normally commute naman to work so last night was no different. Here’s what happened:

I left the office at 6pm then rode a jeep to anonas/aurora. At that time I know my wallet, coin purse and cell phone are still in my bag. I was able to pay pa my fare sa jeep. Then I went down na sa may anonas and walked towards QCMC. Crossed the street (aurora) and walked again and hailed an fx. That’s when I learned I was robbed. My bag was open na and ayun, my wallet, coin purse and cell phone are all gone. Grabe! Ang galing and ang bilis nung magnanakaw. I never noticed na nabuksan yung bag ko and never din naman akong nag stop sa paglakad after ko bumaba ng jeep. Kakagulat talaga! Buti na lang yung guy beside me was kind enough to pay for my fare sa fx. I was crying habang nasa fx.

Upon getting home, I texted Paul (using my sister’s cell) and told him what happened. I asked him also to call an officemate who was still in the office to send me the back up file of the notes that are stored in my cellphone. Buti na lang andon pa sila and na-send agad sa kin yung file kaya I was able to change agad the passwords. Thanks Jenny and Amie! I was able to call also the banks to block my credit cards and kanina I went to the bank to request for a new atm card and informed them also of what happened.

Yung laman ng wallet ko eh 2 credit cards, atm card and mga iba’t-ibang cards like sm advantage, mercury drug, sta. lucia, etc. Yung kelangan ko lang don talaga agad is my medicard and yung medical city plus card. Pero I asked naman our HR kanina and they endorsed naman na to medicard my case and I won’t request na for a new one since mag expire na din yung card sa sept 14. Yung sa medical city naman, I was able to call customer service na and they told me to request na lang for a new one and if in case wala pa yung card and I gave birth na, sabihin ko lang that I have a TMC card. I also have my admission slip sa wallet and I’ll just request for a new one on my check up on Saturday. Yung cash naman was around 3K. Well ngayon wala na silang lahat. :(

Sayang din yung mga naka store sa cellphone ko, wala pa naman lahat yon back up :( And btw, I’m using a prepaid sim so if in case may ma receive kayo na text using my number 09063552470, di na ako yon kaya paki check na din lang.

I’m thankful lang na I’m safe and nothing bad happened to me or to Hannah.

Why Do We Need Friends

From Emz, thanks sis!

We need friends for many reasons,
all throughout the season.

We need friends to comfort us
when we are sad,
and to have fun with us
when we are glad.

We need friends to give us good advice,
We need someone we can count on,
and treat us nice.

We need friends to remember us
one we have passed sharing memories
that will always last.

Passing this on to my twittermates. :)

Million Dollar Friend

Mhay included me in her list. Thanks sis! Here's what she said:

Toni - She's also an officemate and friend to me. I was able to learn about w@w and n@w and BUB and how to make money blogging through her :D.

And now I'm giving this to:
Peachy - I've known her when we were still preparing for our wedding since she's a June bride too. When I gave birth to Lance, I often text her when I have questions and she never fails to reply even up to now. She also gives me links and tips on where to find cute items online.

Aggie - like Peachy she's also a June bride. She helped me when I was still starting with blogging and she's also the one who introduced me to paid blogging. I love reading her blog and I learn a lot from it.

Bang - a friend since college and we still talk even if through ym only since we live far from each other. I like it when she encourages me to cook since she's good at it. Oh did I mention I love her muffins?

Nice - I love reading her blog and I learn a lot from it too. And not to mention she's a very nice person. There was one time that I have a question and sent her a message, and what she did was call me on the office so that I'll understand it more. Bait no! :)

Baby Needs

When we learned that we were pregnant, Paul and I, well mostly just me, started thinking of the things to buy for our baby. And I got more excited when we learned that we’re having a girl. I’ve thought of the basic things that a baby need like crib, strollers, feeding bottles, etc. Well we won’t be buying a crib anymore since the one Lance used before is still in good condition. I’m still thinking if we will buy a new stroller since the one we have now can be used for babies 3 months and above. I was referred to a site that gives buyers a guide when buying strollers. The site even talks about different stroller styles like lightweight and umbrella strollers (which we have now), full featured, travel systems, tandem strollers, jogging strollers, all terrain strollers and carriage strollers. I like the full featured stroller since it is has several features that are good especially for newborns. The site is really nice since it has prices for each type and for the different stores that offers it. Well we haven’t decided yet if we’ll buy one. We’ll see. :)

So far, I think we have everything prepared and are just waiting for the coming of baby Hannah. I bought clothes already, blankets, cloth diapers, etc. I also had my check up this morning and the OB said my cervix is still closed but she already gave me an admission slip in case I go into labor. Please pray for my health that I may have a safe and normal delivery. Pray for baby Hannah too. Thanks! :)

Coffee Break ver. 1.33

Last week's coffee break topic from Jan.

I normally bring a small book whenever I leave so that if I'll be caught in traffic, I have something to do. If I don't have a book, I just text or play with my phone. Or sometimes, I just don't do anything at all. :)

When I'm driving naman, I just listen to the music and sing to whatever is playing in my ipod or on the radio. :)

That's it. Sorry sis for the delayed response. Thanks for the tag. :)
